Spring Valley Golf Course

I love this golf course, I think it is one of the best values in the Bay Area for golf. The course is always nicely maintained and the price is extremely affordable. You can come for twilight during the week and play 18 for cheaper than 9 at Pruneridge or Sunken Gardens. The course is always nicely maintained but in Summer in can get a little dry (it is in the hills of course!). It also isn't a hard course but good for the fundamentals. I've lived in the Bay Area my whole life and never knew about Spring Valley which is tucked away in the Milpitas hills. Everyone I interacted with was wonderful and very helpful and they have a driving range and putting green very close to the #1 tee. The scenery and rolling hills make this a wonderful place to enjoy your golf day.

I honestly think that Spring Valley is a very nice course with excellent condition. Though not much design, but the entire course situated in a very nice "valley" landscape, with very good condition ☺️. Like how Hole 9 l, 11 and 18 constructed across the lake, all of the 3 holes are fun to play.

Driving range is good, $8 for 34 balls, $11 for 68 balls

I golf here once a month with my golf group. Course is always in great shape and the staff is very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend anyone to play there. It's pretty forgiving but also challenging.

What a beautiful hidden gem. I grabbed a back 9 early round today and loved every minute of it. Lots of unique green complexs and generous fairways make for a fun round. It was also in great shape for early February so shout out to the supers. Will come back here again for another go

We're playing behind him at Santa Teresa Golf Course currently. His 4some is not only playing slow, but they're all playing from the wrong tees. Very loud and obnoxious on tee boxes next to greens, the whole group playing 2 balls, no sense of golf etiquette at all. I played this course once and will not be playing it again. They send group out every 7 minutes, which is way too close. While the course itself isn’t in terrible condition, you’ll never get to properly enjoy all 18 holes because the pace of play is unacceptably slow. My most recent round took six hours, which is completely absurd. I understand this is a public course, but six hours for a round of golf is beyond ridiculous. For a public course it is well maintained and greens were true. Shout-out to Matt at the front desk who was courteous, friendly and helpful, as I had to change me tee time to accommodate additional buddy. Pace of play was a little slow, but not horrible by any means.

Had a tee time at 2:45 pm on a Saturday in September and only made it through 14 holes. Atrocious pace of play when they literally have rules saying you should complete 18 in 4 and a half hours. Paying full price to not finish it a bad feeling. Nice course but really bad course management considering they have a started and seemingly organized team. Not returning.

Love this course…have been playing it for years, and I think I’m gonna get a par on a hole very, very soon - so it’s paying off big time. Love the diversity of holes: little, straightforward par 3’s and 4’d mixed with challenging shots over ponds, around dog legs…just a fun track. Only minor downside: terrible cell phone reception! Probably a good thing, but something to be aware of. When you book, tell them creaky old Bill sent you - and have fun!

I have been playing golf for the last 40 years and I have never been treated as if I was a thief and ran away. After I pay my green fee (asked if I was riding or walking, answer riding), approaching the #1 tee the ranger, later I knew that he was the manager, stoped me very rude demanding if I had paid for single ride or double ride, I had no idea. Had to go back to the cashier with him and they were surprise about the issue. Anyways I play golf for fun and after that there was no fun at all to be there. Will never go back to that golf course.
