What People Say

In summary

Fremont Park Golf Club receives positive feedback for its driving range, group lessons, and friendly staff, with some visitors appreciating the challenging layout of the 9-hole course. However, many reviews highlight significant issues with course maintenance, including patchy fairways, uneven tee boxes, and poor greens. There are also complaints about management policies, such as mandatory cart fees for certain bookings, which some find deceptive.

There is an elderly Asian golf instructor at Fremont golf club is very rude! Today 1/30 around 5 PM , my son was practicing in the bunker area when he was aggressively scolded by an instructor who is not his coach. The instructor stated that my son had been “complained about by others” and reprimanded him loudly. My son was understandably very upset by this interaction. Following the incident, I spoke directly with the staffs to verify the situation and was clearly informed that no complaint had been made regarding my son’s practice. While I respect the role of golf professionals at this fa…

If you want to get a good session at driving range this is a great place to get it in. The 9-hole course is pretty trash by most standards. The fairways are quite bad with patches of weeds, gopher holes and muddy pits. The tee boxes are uneven and quits unkept. Plenty of squirrels - attract eagles, hawks and buzzards. Also you’ll run into deer and coyotes too. But haven’t seen snakes. Very soggy in winter, very nice in fall and spring. Too hard and bouncy in summer.

Only went to the driving range. Mats were pretty well used, range balls were in good condition and priced well. Place was clean and does get busy and busy with people who tend to talk a lot at the mats. The range was dry as a bone and hard to follow the ball because of it. Putting greens were in good state with the exception of a few bad spots. Parking is limited. Staff was polite and efficient.

Was not expecting much, but certainly Fremont Park is worse than I was imagineering. While I like the design somehow, the condition is not good, one thing is that greens are somehow playablely challenging, I'll give them this. Another thing is that the Par 4 holes here are designed with not-able-to-see-greens, so even they're short, but will require a nice lay up tee shot skill. There's even construction 🚧 undergoing in Hole 7 fairway, Even you can see no-grass area all over the fairway from GPS 😂

My review is for the group lessons & driving range, I haven’t tried the course yet. The intermediate group lessons (through Fremont parks & recs) are a really good value and the instructors are good! I’ve done a ton of 1-1 lessons, and I would say the instruction here is comparable, just with less 1-1 time. I walk by the course regularly and I must admit the conditions look a bit dismal, I’m definitely not asking my friends to play here, but like others have said, it has great potential if Fremont wants to put the money in like they did with Central Park.

Friendly staff, this course has a great deal of potential but is poorly kept. Squirrel dens all over the course, multiple sand traps with hard dirt in them, zero water in the ball cleaners, and the list could go on. Again it has potential and wouldn’t take much to elevate it to what I would imagine it was supposed to be. I would have given it a lower score but I couldn’t do that to the staff.

Really nice 9 hole course. Tee boxes could use a little TLC. Greens are great. I will play there again

This place does pretty good as a municipal golf course. Easy to get tee times and the driving range is nice. Price isn't bad, the 9 hole can be more challenging than others since there is a lot of water hazards.

Great family day at the driving range. Beautiful scenery, nice putting green, and nice chipping area. Very friendly staff at the snack bar/restaurant. I recommend this place to all golfers!

Here’s what you get at Fremont Park: -terrible service -abysmal conditions -deceptive policies -poor value The only thing it has going for it is that there is no wait to play on a weekend…because everyone knows to avoid this course already. I had never played here because $33 can get you a lot more if you play elsewhere. My friend and I wanted to play a round last minute and everywhere else was booked so we decided to try out Fremont Park. Found a tee time on GolfNow to save a few dollars. Upon checking in, we were told that anyone who books on GolfNow MUST pay for a cart. What if you like…

A place to practice golf. Only the first, second and 9th holes are well maintained. Others are pretty bad. All the greens have mud patches and holes as of Aug 31 2017. Time to move on to another course in Pleasanton or Hayward. Came to check on Thanksgiving day. Posted photos of so called fairway. Worst golf course I ever saw.
