In summary

Callippe Preserve Golf Club is frequently praised for its picturesque setting, challenging layout, and well-maintained course conditions. The venue is also noted for its suitability for events, such as weddings, due to its scenic beauty and accommodating staff. However, some visitors have experienced slow pace of play and noted inconsistencies in cart policies, while a few have mentioned maintenance issues on certain parts of the course.

Beautiful course, tricky holes that need tips or targets on where to aim if they want faster play, the trees take out many angles and the creek makes it very challenging. It needs yardage markers for old timers. They only ones they had were 100, 150 and 200 markers. They tried to rush us along but it was already backed up. They need a beautiful drink cart girl and cart.

We were blown away by the amount of picturesque spots for weddings here. There’s a ceremony site with the valley, rolling hills and mountains in the background. The bridges and trees down the hill were perfect for varying angles and poses. The outdoor dance floor has you under the stars and the back porch style reception area was a dream!

Played a sunny weekend afternoon round, followed by a cloudy morning round a few days later after some rain. I really enjoyed the course layout and overall condition. After the rain, the sand traps were more like small ponds, but the fairways drained very well. The course is fairly challenging to walk due to the frequent elevation changes, though I still saw many early-morning players walking the course. The biggest issue on weekends is the pace of play—on several holes, there were three groups waiting at the tee box. Unfortunately, we couldn’t finish before dark and had to skip the final thr…

I’ve never been able to play beyond the 10th hole. But I enjoy it everyone I go here. The place is right off the highway with a drive up that goes through country farms, cows and pastures, transports you into a quiet serene valley out in the east bay hills. For the longest time I didn’t even know it existed! The fairways are picturesque, and keep very well. The greens are deceptively fast - watch out. With a bit up and down slopes, walking this course can be tiring. The clubhouse is cozy - but can get crowded if there is a wedding event - which happens all the time. The hitting range is qu…

Just had our wedding 10.30.2025. shout-out to Morgan, Carissa, and the rest of their amazing event team. Everything turned out perfect, had some of our guests rave about the service and scenery. Will recommend callippe to others for events and hopefully plan to have future ones there too! My suggestion to others, even if your decor for the big arch doesn't work out, that's okay, it's so green and beautiful by itself. Shout-out to elite entertainment for DJ Josh for bringing the party! Annahoganphotograph for her easiness and talent! Thank you so much, again!

Played at 1:48 PM on a Saturday in February. We got through 12 holes before it got too dark to continue. Seemed like the entire place shuts down at dark, which was a little strange. No post round drinks. Course is awesome but the pace of play was way too slow. Would appreciate if they had marshalls on the course to help move people along. Also could have used a refreshments cart on the course.

This golf course offers beautiful scenery and decent turf conditions, but make no mistake – it's far from an easy round. The challenging layout ensures you'll be tested on every hole. Our group of three had a bit of an interesting experience with the cart policy. We had one person join us, making us a threesome. We were informed that no more than two golf carts are allowed per team, so I ended up sharing a cart. However, as we played, we noticed the group in front of us consisted of six people with three golf carts. This seemed to contradict the policy we were given. Despite this minor incon…

The view is great, but honestly this is one of the worst-maintained golf courses I’ve ever seen. Divots everywhere and nobody fixes them, even on the tee boxes of par 4s and 5s where it’s just a mess. The turf is in rough shape too, with patches and bumps, and tire marks on several greens. Carts have no GPS or screen. Definitely not a course I’d come back to.

Wish this place was closer to me! What a gem of a course. Lots of interesting holes, with a great balance of playability and challenge. The course was in great shape from tee to green and I love how many water stations and bathrooms there were on the course, which are very welcomed when playing in the heat. Really enjoyed my day out at Callippe, and hope to play it again.

My cousin used the golf course as a reception area for her wedding firstly absolutely beautiful course that’s something that you cannot escape…… the background. The set up was perfect for what they had going on each guest was afforded a free drink ticket of a premix cocktail seating was outdoor on the patio and the menu had to be cooked by a Michelin five star chef between the Cajun pasta the tri-tip the mashed potatoes or maybe it was the cream chicken and the green beans either or there should be a restaurant here open 24 hours a day. Definitely recommend it for small gatherings not to excee…

Probably the most beautiful (economic) bay area golf course during spring! <50$ for an afternoon tee time to walk in paradise. Extremely hard slopes though.
