In summary

The Course at Wente Vineyards is widely praised for its stunning setting amidst vineyards and rolling hills, offering a challenging yet fair layout designed by Greg Norman. The course is well-maintained with excellent conditions from tee to green, complemented by friendly and helpful staff, and features such as a scenic driving range and quality clubhouse amenities. While some visitors note the high green fees and occasional slow pace of play, the overall experience is considered exceptional and worth the investment.

A well-maintained golf course that winds through scenic vineyards, offering a hilly and challenging layout. In the spring, the surrounding hills turned beautifully green and the weather was perfect. The greens were still recovering from winter dormancy, but they rolled true. Pace of play was excellent for our weekend afternoon round. One nice bonus is the driving range located at the top of the hill, with unlimited balls included in the green fee. It takes about a five-minute cart ride to get there, so plan to arrive a little early if you want to warm up before your round. The full green fee…

Im here from Detroit on work trip and I left this golf course at a loss for words. This course is absolutely beautiful and worth every penny. Breathtaking views at every turn, perfect white sand bunkers, and perfect Fast and true putting surface. Conditions from tee box to green 9/10. Very friendly staff. Greg Norman did not disappoint! Thank you Wente Vineyards for this excellent experience. THIS IS A TRUE GEM AND MUST PLAY!!!!

I played an NCGA event here a few weeks ago and it's a slice of heaven for a golfer that is a golf course design and landscape lover. A beautiful setting in the Livermore wine country. This Greg Norman design doesn't dissapoint. It's a great layout that is challenging but very fair, and has a tee position for every level of golfer. Very well maintained, though when we played the greens were verticut, a little bumpy and the course was pretty wet. I could only assume it was kept wet for the very hot dry afternoons. It's a great test of golf with every hole having an aesthetically pleasing view.…

Course was in killer shape. Ended up scoring a hot deal from GolfNow for only $85 and it was the best value I’ve ever had. I would easily pay 150+ for this track. Tee boxes and fairways are pure! Greens are well kept and QUICK but you can tell they get a decent amount of play. Fix your spike marks people! Pace of play was good and the clubhouse was great. Also one of the best short game areas for a public track. Overall 8.5/10 and will be bringing many people out here!

Be prepared for a 5.5 hour round…. The staff and the course are great, greens in good shape, and fast! Course doesn’t drain the best so it was mud ball central. That said, when you pay $159+ Green fees per player, you’d hope you didn’t have to take nearly 6 hours to play 18 holes. Played behind a 5some with 3 wide open holes ahead of them. Frustrating

Super well maintained, beautiful layout, and just a really enjoyable place to play. You can tell they take a lot of pride in keeping it in top shape. It’s definitely on the pricey side, but honestly, I’d say it’s worth it. Great vibes, challenging holes, and the views are hard to beat. Would 100% come back.

First time playing golf in a vineyard, but I'm pretty sure that there probably won't be any better ones in this category 😉 Everything is on point. The design takes good advantage of the valley landscape, a lot up and down hill, but in the way you don't just need to focus on your course management, but also get to enjoy the view of such a lovely vineyard. Like Hole 1 the most, as the slope of tee box to the fairway is totally insane, hah (believe that it must be at least 2-3 story height). Would love to bring the whole family here someday.

It's the way we got married, but it's our first time playing golf today. Green is very fast and steep, so you can be embarrassed. So I was very frustrated today. It was raining and cold in the morning, but it was hot in the afternoon. It was a very hard day for me. It's a very beautiful golf course, but it's really hard. But I was very satisfied with the menu at the clubhouse. Next time, I'll practice a lot to play better.

Wente Vineyards Golf Course is an absolute gem. The layout is both beautiful and challenging, with plenty of elevation changes and incredible views from several tee boxes. Course conditions were excellent, and Marcus in the pro shop was especially helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Wente Vineyards is in my top course list as a must play in California! The setting for the course is spectacular.. the course winds and climbs through the rolling hills and vineyards with it's own Lombard Street 😀 staff was great, fairways, tee boxes, bunkers, and rough were perfect 👍 greens were undulating and rolling true with a stimp closer to 10. If they sped the greens to 11+ the course would eat golfers for lunch! Grabbed a hot deal for 3pm play for only $75 and feel like I owe them something in return for getting that amazing course for that price.. thank you for creating such an amazin…
