In summary

Sandalwood Country Club is praised for its improved course conditions under new ownership, offering a challenging layout with tight fairways and commendable rates, especially for veterans. Many visitors appreciate the friendly and accommodating staff, as well as the scenic, wooded setting. However, some guests have experienced issues with cart maintenance, customer service, and discrepancies in pricing, which have affected their overall experience.

Great course, under new ownership with improvements ongoing. They give a discount to veterans which is commendable, locally owned and operated. Rates were great, course was challenging, shorter but very tight. I would recommend it over many of the more expensive golf courses in the area.

Stopped in,no tee time, they accommodated, walked 18, the course was beautiful, tight fairways and greens. Much improved over the old Sandlewood. The only issue, I was overcharged if you go by the rate list on the web site. Over all a great day. Will definitely be back.

We had a tee time scheduled, BUT after the way we were treated in the bar, we decided to leave and not even try the course. We like to try different courses around home to see where we want to join before summer. We walked in, was ignored for a good 4 minutes while the bartender cashed 2 groups of 2, out. Totally fine. THEN, instead of helping us next, she went across the bar, talked to some regulars, asked if a new patron needed help, then answered a phone, then finally said she'd be right with us. There was SIX ppl in the bar. They were not busy. She continued to ignore us, my husband went t…

First year golfing there. Great experience so far! Great rates which is obviously appreciated, but with kind and respectful service. Played after a Big Cup tournament and only knew because they didn’t have time yet to get the cups out. Variety of challenges and decent crowd.

Third time trying this course this year, trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but will not be going back. All three times, carts are not working right. Roughs are very long. We were assured there was beverage carts out- once didn’t see one in nine holes and this time told they “aren’t allowed” to serve the other nine when there is league on the other. To his credit, he did try. But overall not worth paying to golf there and risk being stranded with a broken cart.

Picked up golf this summer and found the perfect place for beginners to practice in the morning. Cheap enough to where I don’t have to think twice if I want to play another round. Their regular golfers are very nice and also have been helpful to my golf game as well! Haven’t even had to try other courses in the area, I found mine!!!!

Went 3 times during this summer season and I’ve been rejected all three times. 2 of the times I went you had to have a tee time when there wasn’t barely any people there and one other time they were “under staffed”. Why even be open???

This place seems to be heading in the right direction. The quality of the playing surface needs help but it takes a couple years for that to happen, especially in wooded courses. The greens were in good shape despite being a little slow. Wish they had some better yardage markers on the tee boxes, especially on the par 3's The yardage sign might say 145 yards but they may be placed only 120 yards out. Course seemed to play shorter than the 100 & 150 yardage markers on the fairways too. The cart paths were good and the overall layout was nice. It's a shorter course and they do not have any blue…
