In summary

Sapulpa Municipal Golf Course, also known as Rock Creek Golf Course, is appreciated for its affordability, friendly staff, and improvements in course maintenance. The course features a challenging layout with water hazards on most holes and is generally in good condition, though some areas may experience wetness and cart path issues. Criticisms include inconsistent management practices, occasional slow play, and some maintenance concerns, particularly with the greens and signage.

Sapulpa Municipal Golf Course Rock Creek Golf Course - Renamed 2020 Sapulpa, OK. This is where it all begins for me. As a young kid, this was the place my father let me cut my teeth on hurting grass. My grandfather was the Head Pro, and my father learned the game himself. Not every golf course is on the top 100 list, but they are a place that hold special memories. As I like to call it, Sapulpa Nation Golf and Country Club has a unique story. It opened in the mid 1920's as a nine hole municipal track. Later on, it expanded to 18 holes and recently has had 2 re-designed by Slack and Hayes(1995…

Great value right now. There are ups and downs, let me explain: Pro low price. Under 20 dollars for a good course Con: the course is very wet right now several holes have standing water and some cart paths are impassable. Pro: half the cart paths are brand new! Con: half the cart paths are old with major lumps in them. Pro: quiet electric carts Con: the greens are in rough shape. Not totally neglected but divots and dead spots in most. Con: the holes can be quite confusing in spots as to which is next, take a map. Pro: zero sand traps! For some reason when we went there were tons of large mush…

Gone downhill since recent staff changes. Never heard of a course requiring carts in way before sun even goes down.

I had a 5 pm tee time and I arrived 15 min early and walked in the club house (which was wide open) to check in and I was told the course was closed due to rain from 7 am that morning. Understandable if the course was to wet but I asked why they didn’t let me know since I had a tee time and was basically told “that’s to bad” and that we couldn’t play. I won’t be returning to this course because it wasted a lot of my time and they didn’t seem to care at all. Why make a tee time if they won’t even inform you if they are closed. I also realized they are charging different rates almost every time…

Nice municipal course in good condition. We paid $24 each with a cart. For a municipal course where it seems few adhere to the 90 degree rule on par 4s and 5s and cart path only on par3s, this course was in excellent condition. They have problem areas roped off. Fairways are a little narrow, greens were fast, a few holes are adjacent to a busy highway which is noisy. Overall an excellent value. Tulsa city courses should take notice.

This is a municipal golf course in a medium size town that fits the bill for playing an ok course at a very reasonable price. Playing midday for $31 with a cart is a rarity. The course is in decent shape. You can tell people who do not really understand or respect the game play here some, because the greens are damaged and it seems people rarely fix their divots. They do their best to maintain them but any time your playing behind a guy in a black wife-beater, your on a course that probably isn't top notch. The staff do a good job and any day on a golf course is better than a day at work. It i…

Greens were fantastic. Fairways and teeboxes were really bad. Looks like they have been doing a lot of work running water lines throughout the course, so the grounds crew may be focused on that versus keeping up with the course. I will probably wait till next year to play again. The proshop has very little on the shelves and the bathroom has a tacky sign that tells you to scrub the toilet after you use it. Does not look like any staff goes in there.

This is not a private membership course, it’s a public one and it’s a great price for what you get. The staff is friendly and the customers are great. We have had a lot of fun playing here and have made some great friends. I recommend this course to anyone who loves to play and doesn’t want to break the bank doing it.

i’ve never played here/hit the range so i just called to see if the range was open, the guy who answered was extremely rude and hung the phone up on me. i guess that’s why the memberships are so cheap because they don’t know how to treat customers. wouldn’t recommend even giving these guys a call. will never put my time into this place again

Buddies and me come in for work every now and then and usually have a great experience. We usually play 9 and they let us start on the 10 so we can get there early. Today the guy on the phone was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He answered the phone with “Rock creek golf course”, which is probably the name but when you find it on google you just find “Sapulpa Municipal Golf Course”, so I made sure ask if I had the right one, he was incredible rude with his response and tried to make me feel dumb for asking. Available tee time was 9:30, I asked him if I could start on the 10 like normal and…

there is 5 of us in a group that play every Saturday some where in the surrounding area and the is one of our favorites. Course is always in great shape. If you are looking for a wide open course this will not be for you. Water on most holes and if you can't hit the shot you will pay. For a public course this is the one of the best in the State.
