In summary

Scarlett Woods Golf Course is appreciated for its scenic setting, mature trees, and budget-friendly pricing, making it a popular choice for both beginners and seasoned golfers. The course layout, primarily composed of par 3s with a few par 4s, offers a challenging yet enjoyable experience. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about course maintenance, slow pace of play, and management issues, which can affect the overall experience.

Very well maintained public golf course run by the city of Toronto. Nice clubhouse with sandwiches, beer, hotdogs... hood proshop. Really good prices. Par 62, but don't let that fool you. Very mature trees, narrow Fairways abd lots of bunkers to keep you honest. 4 par 4s, all the rest par 3s. Lots of parking.

Ahhh Scarlett Woods. My local home course, lots of nostalgia and very friendly cart staff this year. Unfortunately, this is about where the positives end for Scarlett Woods in 2025; this is a borderline abomination that this course is technically apart of the Ontario Golfing Community. To start, the image here was very unfortunate. They had some scumbag trespass and ride their dirt bike across virtually 1/4th of the course. One hole was unplayable. 5 greens looked like the attached image, which was very unfortunate. When I asked the cart girl when this happened, she wasn’t sure…this surprised…

What an outstanding short course, this place is perfect for a quick round before work. Although it is a short course, it is challenging for the best of golfers. The pin positions are difficult and the greens are unpredictable. I’ll definitely be coming back here as it was a enjoyable course

This is a hidden gem! Not too hard for beginners with enough of a challenge to keeps things interesting for the more advanced golfer. The landscaping highlights are all the amazing trees. Big old growth giants that have to be 100+ years old. We will definitely be back.

The vibe here is super casual. You’ll see everyone from seniors who have played there for forty years to groups of friends who barely know which end of the club to hold. Because it’s city-run, the green fees are some of the cheapest in town, which is great, but the trade-off is that the tee boxes can get a bit chewed up and the pace of play on weekends can be a crawl.

This is one of the most beautiful bicycle paths that I have come across. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous and the crowd are considerate and polite. I have tried climbing some of the steep hills with my bike and I got a really good exercise out of it so it is a great place for jogging and biking.

This course is meant to be for beginner golfers, not beginner management. Starter on Saturday morning was grumpy, disrespectful, and power tripping. Not unusual at this course. Course was running 20 min behind schedule, and played over 4 hours on a short Par 61. No marshal managing pace of play. Course conditions are poor with chewed up tee boxes and neglected grounds. This course has gone downhill and the new management needs to dedicate time to improving it.

Beautiful municipal course, gorgeous trees, river and pretty well maintained grounds for such a busy course. It's a short course but you can still play just about every club in your bag. On a good day you can finish in about 3 hours; in prime time it will take 4 hours. I love this course for what it is; a municipal course that's in a pretty accessible location and has enough variation to keep it interesting. Great spot to get some rounds in to stay sharp before you play longer courses.

Great for beginners. Definitely easy to walk, no cart needed. Cart girl can be scarce at times but you can buy in the clubhouse. 9th hole finished at the clubhouse which is the best (bathroom, food, drink, etc) - this place is great and affordable. Tough to get a tee time sometimes but that’s Toronto. Fore!

I played my first round of golf this season at Scarlette Woods golf course. It was a really good experience. My boyfriend and I were the last two go on the course for a quick twilight nine hole and the greens were in great condition considering we were the last to play. I liked that most of the hole were par 3.

What happened to this place? How can they care so little for a half decent course? Saturday and not a single marshal, no cart person, NOTHING. I waited at least 10 minutes to tee off at every single hole because they were so backed up. Go figure with no marshal. Staff was just a bunch of kids. No manager available, no one that looks like they even understand what’s going on. Tee boxes are butched and filled with rocks. The push carts are probably 30 years old, falling to pieces and they charge you to use them LOOOL?! Guys, you really need to get a grip this is embarrassing.
