In summary

Silver Lake Golf Club is often praised for its affordability, friendly staff, and suitability for beginners, offering a relaxed atmosphere with a welcoming environment. Many appreciate the improvements in course conditions over recent years, though some still note issues with the fairways, cart paths, and occasional maintenance disruptions. The venue also hosts events like weddings, with mixed reviews on the quality of service and facilities provided.

Staff friendly. Good experience overall besides the condition of some of the course. Greens are in pretty good shape but some of the fairways are pretty rough to the point the cart is bouncing around. Geese turds all over (which I know is hard to control). Cart paths are also not super clear. Other than that it is a nice place to get a quick 9 holes in and the staff seem great!

A cheap golf course $16 walking. They improve the greens from last year. If you are a beginner, it a good place to star. Not too difficult, not too long, not too nice (like your game). Cheap beer!!

For a course that has such a strict dress code with MULTIPLE signs stating what you can and cannot wear they sure are worried about the wrong things. The fairways are over grown and riddled with mud holes. The greens are a mess. The sand traps are riddled with weeds. We actually had to wait on hole three to hit because they were mowing the fairway. And the lawn guy wouldn’t move until he was done with the fairway. This is a terribly maintained golf course and probably one of the worst courses I’ve been to.

We had our wedding reception here. The location was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good. There was a deck to sit on overlooking the golf course, which was so nice. I would highly recommend.

The staff was kind, unfortunately the course was very “neglected “, dried up greens and fairways were kinda rough. Our golf cart could barely make it up hills. Great for practice rounds.

DO NOT GOLF HERE!!!! By far the worst Golf course in Oakland County. If you want to play in a un kept swamp of a course then this is the course for you. This golf course should pay people to play there. 20 dollars for 9 is robbery. 5 bucks at best and that should be just to use the carts. Also the ranger thinks they are guarding a 5 star PGA tour golf course. The paths are trash the bunkers are un kept the greens look like they set the mower at zero then mow it. I will NEVER give this place my money and I urge you to follow suit. This place needs to fail and build a apartment complex instead.…

Very affordable golf with friendly, helpful staff. Course condition is a bit rough in spots, but you get a decent value for what you pay. It's a great place to take beginners!

Awesome cool hidden spot for a quick 9 hole! Despite the golf course over populated with geese and geese crap, it did not bother me one bit. The front clerk was awesome by telling me to grab some golf balls outside on the ledge instead of me buying some.

The course has improved so much in the past year. The owners are the sweetest people ever. Can’t beat the price either. If you are looking for a nice and cheap place to golf and get a nice meal this is the place! Also helps that the grounds crew are so nice and are always working so hard to improve the course.

I got married here In 2016 the hall was beautiful and the staff and owner were great. They treated me with kindness and was very professional. The only thing I wish they had was a changing room for the bridal party. They accommodated all of our needs.

This is a great course!!!!! Yes it needs a little work but what can you expect,!! It’s old and family owned I love playing here with family and friends, and the owners are awesome people!!! They recently opened a small bar and grill that has amazing food and staff!! Everyone here treats you as family as it should be. I’ve seen a few bad reviews about silver lake but don’t believe them! Want a fun place to play , challenging yet forgiving? Try this place!!!!!
