In summary

The Links at Crystal Lake is praised for its well-maintained course, friendly staff, and beautiful scenery, offering great value for money with reasonable rates. The course layout is described as fun and challenging, despite being on the shorter side, with unique holes and scenic views. However, some visitors have experienced issues with crowdedness and occasional staff rudeness, which can affect the overall experience.

I really like this course! First, the owners and staff are REALLY NICE! They are friendly, accommodating (even when it’s busy), and genuinely want to give you a fun/good/positive experience. Second, the course itself is a little gem! Is it “long”? No. Does it need to be? No! Play from the tips if you want or need length. Play from the middle tees and you’ll have a blast! It’s fun, challenging, some very interesting holes, with (yes, really) some scenic views and elevation changes. Both the front and back nines have a combination of great par 3, 4, and 5s. Holes 14 and 15 are especially scenic…

This course is a decent course to play if you don’t want to break the bank. Friday late morning round was $45 with a cart. It’s a short course with some of the holes close together. Be prepared for impatient or angry golfers. Last time I golfed here a golfer, who claimed he worked for the course, was being a bully and raising his voice to us about “proper golf etiquette”. Another time I played here the course was backed up and everyone was waiting on the tee box but a gentlemen behind us accused us of slow playing and felt the need to yell at us. I do like this course because is not that price…

Fun and pretty little course. A couple long holes but mostly short. Well-maintained despite very little rain. They blow the leaves off, so it’s a great course in the Fall.

Always a fun track here. Early in the season it's walking only, but you really get a good feel of the intricacies of what a lot call a short but challenging course. Can't wait for the summertime menu. Great carts, friendly staff. It can get backed up on super busy days, but what course doesn't?

A lot of challenging holes. I like the layout of most of the holes, even though the course is all over the place and disjointed. You have to go all over the place, down the street, around the corner, etc to get to the whole course. Despite that it is an enjoyable course. The greens are in a bit of disrepair and could be better taken care of. The fairways were decent, though. I would play it again if, for no other reason, the uniqueness of hole 14. The par 3 on an island. Make sure you dont miss it. A few other groups passed right by it!

Best value of the area and only $15 rental clubs. First course I’ve been on that is surrounded by barbed wire but guess that’s just Pontiac for you. For the most part it was well maintained. Also felt longer than it actually is. Some challenging holes with water. Beers in the clubhouse were cheap. I’d come back.

5600 yards from championship tees with fair amount of difficult holes to make up for lack of distance. This day two greens were fairway because of dispute with business on back nine. Overall, greens and fairways in great condition. Scenic view of hole 11 towards Crystal lake.

4700 from the tips but so much fun. Great for beginners to advanced players. I would definitely return for the $25 it cost to play 18 holes. If you can’t break 80 please use the white tees.

There was an employee that came yelling at my coworkers because he thought we were doing donuts at the course. We didn’t do any donuts, the guy clearly had the wrong group, he just kept driving away. This ruined the experience. Would not be coming back here again. Would not recommend.

Easy course to score. Rates are reasonable. Well maitained. They have two temporary hikes becase of a lawsuit that should be addressed by next season.
