In summary

Silverhorn Golf Club is appreciated for its challenging layout, convenient location, and reasonable pricing, with some visitors noting the course is generally in decent condition despite occasional weather challenges. However, there are frequent criticisms regarding the slow pace of play, particularly due to large groups, and the condition of the clubhouse and some course features like bunkers and greens. While some find the staff friendly and accommodating, others have experienced management issues, impacting the overall golfing experience.

Challenging course in pretty good shape considering they had just had a torrential rain about 2 days before we played. Bunkers were full of water but fairways and greens were in decent shape. The rough is really rough. It was a Sunday afternoon on a sunny day with little wind so play was slow with a 5 hour round for 18 holes.

(Pros)= prices are good (cons)= course in poor condition! example would be we had lots of rain i went out the next day and there was so much hard pan and it should have been soft, greens were rock hard, club house is in bad shape, if you are looking for a good golf experience this place needs some help. I heard someone has bought them out maybe they will make it the course it once was and maybe even better.

Played here 6/24/2013. I booked my tee time using the Golfnow app and only paid $20 for eighteen holes :). I found out I'd been paired with a twosome upon arriving at the course. A little while later, while taking practice chips and putts, the pro shop attendant informed me that two more people were added to our group. He also said that i should start alone so the pace of play wouldn't suffer, which i happily did. I managed to play the front nine in about an hour. It took me about 3.5 hours to play my round, and that's with replaying 17 & 18. The #4 hole still gives me fits. I think the sign i…

This occurred on Friday, April 10 with a 3:22 tee time. When we got to the tee box to start our round, we saw a 6-some on the green in front of us. Happily the Course Marshall was there and broke the group into two 3-somes. Unfortunately, we saw that the group in front of us was playing some sort of scramble, hitting multiple shots and putts, standing around just talking and playing extremely slowly. Additionally, even though I was a part of a 2-some, they would not let us play through. We endured this for the first 5 holes and then on the 6th hole the two groups joined again and became a 6-so…

The course is kept up fairly well, it's been getting run down for awhile. It seem they are trying to revamp the course but at a slow pace. There's a new indoor soccer arena across the street that just went up, and a brand new subdivision being built, hopefully it will encourage this course to get a facelift accordingly.

Clubhouse is in rough shape, no tv to watch the pga in the grill. Course is also in rough shape, greens are rock hard. Traps were hit and miss, some were mud, some had grass growing in them, and a few were actually nice. I wouldn't play it again.

I guess the people rating are employees or have never played another course before. The course is terrible shape, ( city courses are better). None of the divots were fixed, people dragging there feet across the greens. To top it off you will get stuck behind a 5 some group. Did not realize there was such a thing. This is not a Saturday it's a Tuesday at 1. Call the club house they tell ya well you will be done around 4 hours!!! God I hope so there are only 2 of us. The marshall was either asleep or hunting balls and didnt care about the pace of play ( thought that was his job). Would not waste…

Love the course, the facilities and the people. I was a bit confused as to why they would have NO water on the course. I know it's early in the year but people still get hot and dehydrated and no water at all seems a little dangerous. Just my opinion.

Good course. Perfect location right in the city. Greens used to be bad but they have been fixed. Course is pretty considering its in the middle of the city and isn't expensive. Probably going to play there again very soon.

The course is overgrown, and most of the greens are in very poor condition. Also, the young man marshalling play (Michael) was unnecessarily hostile toward our group about a slight delay. It was embarrassing, and frankly I probably won't play there for the foreseeable future.

Worst wait in between holes in a long time. There were 5 groups backed up on hole #4 and took over 30 minutes to finally tee off on the hole. With the slowness of the hole, they should not let fivesomes out on weekends or have tee times only 7 minutes apart. Even though they gave me a free round because of it, it will be awhile before I go back again.

Nice course, okay club house employees aren't the friendliest. Course conditions, option for the players club and price make up for most of it though. Super crowded though. Edit: Sad to hear Silverhorn is closing
