What People Say

In summary

Soldier Hollow Golf Club in Midway, Utah, is highly praised for its stunning mountain setting, well-maintained courses, and accommodating staff. The club offers two distinct 18-hole courses, Gold and Silver, which provide challenging yet enjoyable play for golfers of all skill levels. While the overall experience is positive, some visitors have noted issues with divot repairs and occasional slow pace of play during peak times.

What a lovely public golf course. The links style was very playable, the greens were very quick, stay below the hole. Proshop check-in was a breeze and informative. Maintenance crew was courteous, shutting down mowers when I was addressing the ball in every instance. The scenery is georgeous.

This is first time playing this links style mountain course. I love it! I highly recommend it!

We played the Silver course as a threesome before Memorial Day. It’s an amazing course with almost no trees, which leaves you with a shot at the hole almost every time. I say almost because there were some spots that seemed to be trying to imitate rough at Bethpage Black. Pros: fairways were tip top shape, greens were firm yet receptive to shots from any distance, never had a problem with pace of play (we were the only ones on the course for the last 5 holes). Con(s): the only flaw or problem we had with our experience was the fact that it didn’t seem like anyone fixed their divots. As good…

Soldier Hollow Golf Course in Midway, Utah, is a gem nestled in the picturesque Heber Valley, offering two distinct 18-hole courses that cater to golfers of all skill levels. My recent visit to Soldier Hollow was a fantastic experience, combining challenging play with breathtaking mountain scenery. The courses, known as the Gold and the Silver, each provide a unique golfing experience. The Gold Course is the more challenging of the two, with its longer layout and strategically placed hazards requiring precise shot-making and strategic thinking. The Silver Course, while slightly shorter, is no…

Very scenic course. The club house and staff are all fantastic. The drive up to the course from Midway and the Mountain View’s on every hole make the whole experience better. This is a longer yardage and with the multiple tee boxes you can push yourself and any skill level.

Beautiful golf course with 2 different 18-hole courses to choose from. The views of the valley are amazing. The course is well maintained, and the carts in in good shape as well, but do not have USB outlets available to plug any devices in. The practice facilities are fair, and the prices are very reasonable. Limited selection in the snac bar, but has the usual fare like hot dogs, protein bars, etc... You come her to golf, though, and this course does that very well. Value for the money is fantastic.

If you’re looking for a links-mountain side golf course that makes you feel like you’re over in Ireland here’s your golf course. This course gets 5 Stars come from the pro shop, to the tee boxes, fairways, pace of play, greens conditions and the over all experience.

I’ve now been out here on three separate occasions and I can’t imagine coming back again and NOT golfing here. One of my favorite courses of all time and definitely the best public option in the Park City/Heber Valley area. Both the Gold and Silver courses are great. Silver is the longest one stretching into the 7,300+ yards from the tips. The views are spectacular, the course is challenging, it’s maintained excellently, and overall just an amazing place to play golf at. This course and area is worth the drive from Salt Lake or Park City.

THEE MOST BEAUTIFUL setting for a golf course! Just Look at the pictures!!! Absolutely gorgeous! 💯 A picture says 1000 words so there is about 10,000 words to be said about this place! This course is challenging. The greens are kept perfectly but they are tough! The course is more open due to less trees but it is still a hard course to make the fairways. Also, if you go there, make sure you eat lunch there. The Cafe is amazing. Rob is the one who runs the place and he does an incredible job! 👏

Beautiful views. Incredibly challenging greens. Price was increased on a holiday, and the every 9 minute t-times packed in so many golfers that our round took 5 hours with waiting on every hole, and the group behind us breathing down our necks to be our live audience on every t-box. The fairways were SOAKED to the point of puddling and very muddy shots from the middle of the fairway.. we played early on the 4th of July, so maybe it rained super hard for several hours the night before?? (We didn’t see any rain in the forecast, so maybe just sprinkler schedules.

The course was very challenging and had phenomenal views. The weather was great. But the recent verti-cut (dethatching) of the greens resulted in a complete inability by anyone in our party to successfully putt. It was like putting on a pair of corduroy jeans. If you’re going with the grain, the ball would drop into a groove and continue, and if you were going against the grain or perpendicular to it, the ball would bounce in the air when putting. It was very disappointing conditions for a wonderful golf course.

Wow this place is an absolute GEM! I can't believe I had never been here till this past weekend. Let's start with overall grounds keeping - not your typical public course! Every green is lush and true while the fairways are impeccable. Two challenging 18 holes course called silver and gold keep you entertained. I actually played all 36 holes in one day it was that good. Food at the grill was excellent. I had the Dexter sandwich which was excellent. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly as can be. I had to wait a little longer than usual for my sandwich which really wasn't a prob…
