In summary

Canyons Golf Course is praised for its stunning mountain views, challenging layout, and well-maintained fairways and greens, offering a unique golfing experience with significant elevation changes. The staff is frequently noted as friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. However, some visitors mention the rustic condition of cart paths, the temporary nature of the clubhouse facilities, and occasional slow pace of play as areas for improvement.

Fun and challenging GC . Nice elevation changes on multiple holes.. #6 and 18 most dramatic. GPS on carts will restrict proximity to greens as expected. Cart paths were good to unrefined dirt- this could be a point for improvement. ProShop-temp and refreshments available.on course . Overall a fun experience— 4.5 hours for round on a busy Sunday afternoon was reasonable to me . There is a practice net and green for warm up by starters.

Really nice track. But for this price, to have most cart paths be dirt and rock, and the process shop in a temp building, it wasn't a good match. Very nice people. Again, really great challenge for medium to better skilled golfers. Wouldn't recommend for 10 handicap or higher

It was under construction but the whole experience was still amazing. On every hole there are stunning views. The staff are very nice. The amount of wildlife there is incredible. Hole number 6 is amazing with a huge drop in elevation. Bring extra balls when playing here. It was a bit challenging but you should still definitely come here. If you ever visit during summer you have to play at this course.

Fun challenging course. A good resort style course with challenging fairways and greens from the tips. Would recommend for a golf trip

Canyons completely overhauled the experience from 2025 to 2026. The check in is now in the Grand Summit hotel right at the ski base, with complementary valet with tee time. Café in lobby. Restaurant with patio upstairs. Friendly attendants ready with carts and info about the course. New screens in carts. Snack shack on 12 was open even late afternoon. Bathrooms and plenty of water on course. Feels like a country club. Course was in good shape for May opening. Maybe not worth the higher price tag in 2025 and before, definitely worth it now.

Beautiful scenery, very difficult course. I would recommend however be prepared for many blinds. Half of the cart paths are dusty and unpaved. The clubhouse is a mobile unit. Drink stops close early. Other than that the scenery cannot be beat!

We loved this golf course. We are used to tight and narrow fairways, which helps. The course is not as difficult as it seems. The elevation changes are super fun, the greens are very difficult but fair and in good shape (although their speed varied a bit). The course was in very good shape for a mountain course in September. Yeah, there is no clubhouse but check-in is easy and staff are super friendly. It's a resort course, you go there to have fun and not to take it too seriously. I would go back next time I am in Park City.

The course was in great shape even late in the year! We loved the views and the challenge of the course. It is very spread out and long for sure however. One of the favorite holes is a long downhill shot but apparently it is ALWAYS backed up. We waited at least 20 min to tee off which was aggravating. If you have time and don't mind a long round on a fun course then this is great. If you need to keep a good pace and finish your round in the usual time then, not for you. The club house is a mobile trailer and no real food there. You can purchase some snack food at hole 1 and another, but I forg…

Great course. Amazing views! A lot of steep hills and switchback trails - cement and gravel/dirt. A good amount of hiking up to the tee boxes and greens. The clubhouse is still a mobile home type office and the limited selection of drinks are served from a trailer. I'm sure in the future these will be in a much better building.

Course is in great shape, down side is no range or practice facility. This is a resort course obviously so don’t expect to go low with the massive dropping tee shots. Course has no signs to where the next holes are as they are re-organizing the layout. Good to play once.

Canyons is a beautiful, challenging, but strange course. It seems to be a master planning afterthought (ski resort, hotels, and homes all were planned first) and so this course fits into the nooks and crannies of lower Canyons resort. 4 par 3s in the back nine? Check. No pro shop or cafe? Check. Massive tee box drives dropping 300’ to a distant fairway? Also check. Cart paths were curiously rustic (why not replace the asphalt?) but the friendly staff and perfect fairways made up for it. Greens were in great shape but many are multi-tiered, unforgiving beasts. This is not an easy or forgivin…

Incredible course, well maintained. The views are unbelievable, the greens have different levels, and the fairways are lush and green. The 10th tee is several hundred feet above the green, it's one of the best drives in all of golf. The carts have GPS that is very accurate, and the Golf Pro Darren is excellent.
