In summary

Soule Park Golf Club in Ojai, California, is widely praised for its exceptional course conditions, with well-maintained greens and fairways that offer a good balance of challenge for all skill levels. The scenic setting, featuring views of the Topatopa Mountains and abundant wildlife, enhances the golfing experience. The staff is noted for being professional and courteous, and the on-site restaurant, Zaidee’s, receives positive feedback for its food and service. However, some visitors mention issues with slow pace of play, particularly on weekends, and occasional service delays at the bar.

Soule is a one of one place. The views are incredible. It’s an approachable golf course for the high handicaps while still being challenging for low. The greens keep every round different. Been here 3x and every member of the staff + Zaidees I’ve interacted with couldn’t be more professional, courteous and understanding.

Awesome course. Conditions are outstanding. Greens are pure and fairways are immaculate. You would pay $100 plus anywhere else to get these conditions. Not an overly challenging course off the tee box. A few holes require you to work it off the tee box if you want to be aggressive - otherwise the landing zones around 150 are pretty forgiving. Lots of well placed bunkers that influence club selection off the tee box for the risk reward. Greens have a ton of movement on them - don’t get sucked into the obvious break - it’s probably wrong. Pace of play was great. Teed off at 1:00 and was in my ca…

I went out to Soule Park as a last minute booking. Was able to get an 11:20 tee time right after the morning groups. I knew the #5 green had storm damage. You could tell how rough the water must have been rushing down. It was a big green before. So they were lucky that the green is still big enough for play. The conditions were excellent and even though I played lousy. I still had a very enjoyable experience.

The course is phenomenal . Dont get me wrong. One of the best deals in Ventura county. But I have yet to play a Saturday round in sub 5 hours. Sometimes 5 hours 20 minutes. Seen guys shirtless on the course and also driving on greens. If you’re into Saturday rounds taking over 5 hours this is the place for you! I’ll never return here on the weekend, what a joke

Soule Park Golf Course is an absolute gem nestled in the scenic landscape of Ojai, California, and it’s only about 80 minutes from Los Angeles! From start to finish, my experience here was exceptional. The course is incredibly well-maintained, with lush, vibrant green grass that provides the perfect playing surface. You can tell the staff takes immense pride in keeping it pristine. The surroundings are simply stunning—rolling fairways lined with mature trees, picturesque rivers winding through the course, and charming bridges that add to the course’s natural beauty. The serene landscape is fu…

If you find yourself in Ojai with a hankering for golf I have a place for you. Ojai's hottest course is Soule Park. This place has everything, smooth greens, lush fairways, challenging layout, excellent golf carts, super friendly employees (shoutout John,) a GONG! You can even get a beer with ice on the patio afterwards.

Great course and the views can't be beat. They need to care about pace of play, however. Right now I am 4:15 in and waiting on 15 tee, with open holes about six groups in front of us

What an amazing golf course. Played today for the first time. Greens are insane. Thankfully they are fairly slow because they undulate like crazy. I’ve never seen greens that resemble roller coasters before. And, they are huge. The fairways are immaculate. Like hitting off of turf. Super short grass in the fairways. Just a beuatiful course. I can’t believe I only paid 42 dollars to play this course. It is unreal. Highly recommend this course.

Decent golf course with variety of views and set up along the valley of Topatopa Mountains. Wider fairways for friendly driving off the tees but the greens are pretty challenging safeguarded by bunkers and weird slopes. Overall great golf courses in the West of Greater Los Angeles area - quiet and relaxing!

An Absolute Gem of a course!!! Excellent Value & Price for a course in Fantastic shape. Every green is immaculately maintained. Course layout is great. Wide open fairways with enough difficulty for every skill level. The Greens are tricky and will probably be where Your score goes up the the most. But Views has to be the best in Ventura County hands down!! I highly recommend this course. Get early tee times because it gets hot later in the day.

Probably one of the nicest municipal courses you can play in Southern California. Awesome track, good value at $49 for greens fees. It can get really hot in the summer with not a lot of shade and still the course was in good shape. Because it’s so popular rounds can get a bit long I hear but we finished in 5 hours on a summer Sunday which is respectable in my opinion. Overall a great day and would recommend.
