In summary

Southwick Golf Course offers a relaxed atmosphere with fair pricing, making it a suitable choice for casual golfers looking for a mid-week round. However, many visitors have raised concerns about the course's maintenance, particularly the condition of the greens and fairways, and some have reported negative interactions with staff. The presence of hornets on certain holes has also been noted as an issue.

Went out today to squeeze nine holes and was charged $22 for nine holes, The gentleman managing the office did not even mention the course is in terrible condition Nor did management have it posted anywhere door, website exc.. I know it can’t be free, but it’s a $20course at best right now and that should be the 18hole price… the back nine was basically unplayable. The greens are in terrible condition. Many are lost. Hit the ball in fairways was like hitting it in 6 inch rough. You couldn’t find the ball, grass clippings everywhere. I was told the course just endured a flood, but if you don’t…

We called Monday to set up a tee time for Sunday. We made them aware we would have 5 people playing. They stated it was perfectly fine we would just need two tee times. We made it to hole 5 and a group of people that work here came up and told us we were holding them up and needed to speed up or split up. We had only been playing an hour total with a group in front of us. We said if they would like to they were welcome to play through but that they had us book two tee times because they knew we had 5. She continued with we have 6 people playing (even though we did not) and needed to do one or…

Nice golf course. Front nine is pretty open. The back nine plays much tighter. Fairways are okay and the tee boxes could use some work however, priced accordingly and great customer service!

It's great for what it is. It's not a pristine course, but you're not paying for one either. I find it a fun course to play, and I love it for a mid-week round when i have a day free.

Joined some friends earlier today for a round at Southwick. First time here and sadly it will be the last. This was by far the worst condition I’ve ever seen a golf course in. Fairways were cut to a rough length in many places, lots of large clumps of grass clippings all over the course, bunkers overgrown with weeds, greens…….hard to describe how bad they were. I’m guessing this use to be a pretty decent course in the past, so something significant has happened to change that. For the $35 that I paid today, you can find several places similarly priced that actually looks and plays like a real…

Stay Away players are inconsiderate and incompetent will hit into you without any consideration. Fairways are deeper than most roughs greens are overgrown with crabgrass and are very muddy, bunkers have not seen new sad in many seasons and are grown in with weeds. Holes are jammed in very close to each other and risk of getting hit by a ball is severely high due to the tee boxes being right next to or right behind greens spend the extra money at a better course save yourself from a miserable time.

Finally, I played a round of golf. It has been over 10 years. This was a great course to cut my teeth on again. I didn’t do too bad for me. I lost a bunch of balls. I’m definitely going to be back on these greens!

Southwick is a poorly maintained attempt at a golf course. Even for the price of $35 for 18 it is not worth it. The greens are not maintained properly, theyre patchy divoted and in worse shape than my backyard. The fairways are cut like rough. The 8th hole, a par 3 has several hornets nests in the green. The staff are rude, when they make a mistake with their bookings and dont take responsibility for their mistakes. If you want to golf for the price they offer you can find far better courses and management than this one. I will not be returning to play here again.

In fair condition for January. Has some grass on the greens. Needs to have at least one ball wash on each front and back nine.

Bring an EpiPen! You will be stung, had to use a 10 foot ball retriever to get my ball off the green. Staff will curse at you for a mistake they made and refuse to make it good or rectify it. If you like to be ridiculed by other players for a bad shot when they can’t even hit it out of the tee box or belittled by staff. THIS IS THE COURSE FOR YOU!!! If I could give lower rating I would. Even heard from others in the community the owner doesn’t even care about the golfers or the course as long as he’s bringing money in.

Worst course I've played in 33 years of golf. Not worth playing if it were $5 per player. The green have weeds and were like playing plinko. They do no work on the course to make the rough playable and I rolled my ankle twice in the middle of the fairway because they refuse to do any work on fairways that are obviously former fields used for farming.

The course is exactly what you would expect for $34 riding 18 on a Sunday. The vibe is chill, all skill levels were welcomed, and other golfers were welcoming. Pace of play was quick - 18 in under 4. Greens needed TLC but at my skill level it didn't matter
