In summary

The Challenge Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, unique and scenic layout, and friendly, accommodating staff. Many golfers appreciate the challenging yet enjoyable play, with well-kept greens and fairways enhancing the experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play and occasional management decisions that detract from the overall experience.

This was another nice course in the Graham area. It's close to the highway so you definitely have some highway noise to contend with but that's only on a few holes. It was pretty wet this morning but the fairways still rolled pretty well and the greens were fast considering. There's a lot of ups and downs and a fair amount of water scattered throughout so definitely don't assume that shots are safe just because you can't see water.

Played the challenge for the first time today. This is now one of my favorite courses in the area. The staff could not have been nicer and accommodating. The course was in good shape and was the perfect mix of challenging and fun. Greens were in great shape as well. Overall a great round and value. Looking forward to my next round at The Challenge!

Enjoyed the course but we booked 18 and couldn't finish. It is what's been reported alot about pace of play. 1 hole, we had a group on green, one in the fairway and one on the tee and we were waiting behind them. Truly nice layout and we will definitely try it again soon!

The Challenge is easily one of my favorite courses to play. The course conditions are always top-notch, and I love how every hole has its own unique character and layout, it keeps the round exciting from start to finish. The staff is also fantastic and they make the experience even better every time I visit. Highly recommend this course to anyone who enjoys a well kept and thoughtfully designed layout.

If you’re looking for a golf experience that offers both scenic beauty and engaging play, The Challenge Golf Club absolutely delivers. From the moment we arrived, I was impressed with how thoughtfully the course is laid out: rolling farmland, views of the Haw River, and a variety of holes that test your game without being discouraging. Will definitely be back!

Nice course, friendly staff. No driving range, but there is a net you can swing into. Pace of play was good, greens were a little sandy a few weeks out from aeration. Wouldn't hesitate to at here again.

Very appropriate name. The course can definitely be a challenge. There are a variety of tee boxes to choose from so you can vary your difficulty level some. The greens are fast and true. Very well kept course.

We showed up with 10 of our 12 guys on a rainy morning with 30 mph winds and nobody else in the parking lot. We decided since weather was bad we would play 5 vs 5 capt choice. They refused to let us play even with nobody at the course. I’m not normally a rule breaker but I thought maybe they would use a little logic and common sense and make a judgement call based off of bad weather and nobody else being at the course. They refused so we got our money back and left. We used to play here at least once a month with 10-15 guys. We won’t be coming back anymore. Wouldn’t recommend wasting your mone…

By far my favorite golf course to play. Love even more that it’s only 13 minutes from my house. I have 4 of my best 5 rounds ever on this course and it’s a great day any time I can get out here.

This golf course is in such great shape. Greens are rolling great. Fairways looking good. Tee boxes are looking good. The challenge has definitely set the bar high for the surrounding courses.

Awesome course with very pretty, unique holes. Great condition. Would be 5 stars but the net for a driving range doesn't help on this very challenging course.
