In summary

Springwater Golf Course is appreciated for its challenging layout, scenic setting, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both casual and competitive golfers. Many visitors enjoy the well-maintained greens and reasonable pricing, especially considering the picturesque location. However, some have noted issues with course conditions, such as dry patches and spotty fairways, and there are occasional complaints about slow pace of play and inconsistent customer service.

I went looking for Corn ....but this course "sprang" out at me !...Who would ever think a golf course would be situated way out in the farm lands....a good 20 mins away from Barrie. This par 72 course features long par 5s , challenging par 4s with a couple hidden holes as well. On the 3rd keep it to the left, there is a cross wind that can enhance your slice into out of bounds. I like how this course slowly climbs into the mountains and forest and the fairways become narrow. I definitely liked the layout, some par 3s have water in front making it more challenging. All this course needs is some…

This past weekend, a large group of friends and I played a round at Springwater. For the past three summers, we've held a friendly tournament among ourselves, and this year was our first time playing at Springwater. The experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff were very friendly, and not once did we feel rushed—something we’ve unfortunately encountered at other courses. It made for a relaxed and enjoyable round for everyone. Having previously worked on the greens crew at a large private club in Toronto, I understand the budget and staffing required to maintain pristine course…

Edit to reply: First, I like that you didn't defend the quality of your course, just the cost. I have definitely paid most of the time, sometimes saving cart fee and rarely playing for free? I can add screenshots of that if you'd like. Let's not forget she's an ex employee because you guys forced her out and lied to your customers and staff about why she didn't return this year. Also if you still want this review removed like you threatened then you can talk to me, not threaten Haley. Thanks. Original review: Rough greens and spotty fairways. Pace of play is usually not great as there's almost…

Reasonable prices for the quality of the course. It’s either really dry or really wet, I find. Pleasant experience every-time so far. Would recommend. 9th hole is my favourite.

Great day on the course with the 3 Chris' and the rest of the guys from the Sunday morning crew. Thanks to the owners for all of their dedication and good deeds over the years!

Course conditions on July 7th were poor. Some examples, hole 2s green looked like it hasn’t been watered in months, hole 4 had a small crater on the green and the pin was 10 feet away from it, some tee boxes had more dirt than grass. I did not expect much when I walked into the pro-shop and it looked and sounded like a call centre. Hopefully course management will improve, will not be back in the foreseeable future.

Conditions are normally fair. It’s no prestigious course but it’ll definitely help get your fix in. Always used to be a cheaper course because it’s nothing fancy, but the prices are coming up and they aren’t reflecting what you pay for. They have one of the most expensive cart prices I have seen at any course. Carts are old and well used, but I was charged $40 to use a cart for a round of 18, I paid around $40 for a round of 18. The cost of a cart was roughly the same price as it was to play a full round. Absolutely absurd.
