In summary

St. Clair River Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained and challenging golf course, with fast and true greens and a layout that appeals to both seasoned and casual golfers. The club's dining experience is also highlighted positively, with commendations for the menu variety and quality of service. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about recent management changes affecting the dining service and the welcoming atmosphere, as well as issues with booking tee times for non-members.

I have been a member of SCGC for several years and thoroughly enjoy it. The membership fees are more than fair for the value you receive. The club does an outstanding job organizing golf events and tournaments throughout the season. One of my favorite traditions is the Thursday 2:00 PM men's game. It's a great group of guys to golf with, featuring both excellent golfers and even better camaraderie. The golf course itself never gets old. It's a challenging and enjoyable layout that keeps you coming back. The greens are consistently fast, true, and demanding. Best of all, most of the time it fee…

My husband has been a member for 13 years. it was absolutely a great place to eat dinner and hang out but sadly the last couple years with a new board and management the place has really gone down hill. The staff in the restaurant is horrible, we never go for dinner any more because you can sit for 15 minutes and watch the staff gather by the bar area and talk and not get waited on. we have walked out many of times and now just go down the road to the plaza. It use to be so much fun after events people would stay till after midnight on the patio, now it’s empty. Prices keep getting raised ever…

Lots of changes at the club. We are very excited. New general manager, new chef, new menu. We visited on Friday. The food was great and service was awesome. Lots of fish options we are looking forward to great summer.

Spend every easter Sunday here with family. Always a beautiful layout. The food continues to grow in flavor, and flare. Wait staff has never dissappointed. Super accomodating cor any circumstance. In the spring and summer the pool is clean and crisp! Partial menu poolside but usually willing to extend a few dietary rules. Its almost as if the staff knows you before you even get there! Great golf course overall!!! Ive never played but the course is challenging and beautiful from 2nd hand experience laying poolside listening to golfers teeoff. Always a good time.

Great track, the layout is tough but fair. The greens are always in very good condition and run pretty true. The newer back nine made a great addition plus added some length to the course. This is a private course but you will not find a better deal within 100 miles. The food in the dining room is excellent and the staff is wonderful.I highly recommend playing here if you know a member. If your considering a private club this is the best in the area and they have good deals on memberships for new members.

A lot has changed since my last post, I can honestly say that things have gone downhill. Pretty much a whole new board that can't seem to find consistency in the food, they finally fired the superintendent that destroyed the golf course, and the place just seemed to lost its rizz. Lots of new members that don't know what it was even 5 year ago, just needs some fun and find a way to retain their staff, big turnover rate for some reason, but from what I hear, most people know who the issue is. Hopefully it gets back the old swagger.

Was a great evening networking with so many Peers'. Haven't done this before! Saw so many people I hadn't seen before or for so long! Lots of new contacts! Goods bar, not too much on the food. I came home & ate something. Overall good!

Went to their Club for my company's Christmas party and had a great time. The food was great, and the service was great. The servers were very kind and courteous. There was always someone around if you needed something and the decor was perfect. Thank you for letting us have our Christmas party here.

I'm not sure if it is the course that I love as much as the Jerry Williams Charity outing that is held there annually. First class golf outing...one of the best I have participated in.

Used my GroupGolfer voucher in this private course so that was near. Course layout in the back 9 is quirky and just plain tough. The front is simple, everything in front of you. A couple of difficult greens where putting is just being defensive. Pace of play is great! No one in front and no one behind. Quickest round of the year for me.

Been here twice this summer. Both times from group golfer that was purchased four or five years ago. Heck of a deal I guess if I would've use them in time. $35 for a round here plus a bucket of balls at the driving range. Since they expired I guess we had to pay full price which was an additional $55! Got a real feeling that they don't like people that are not members. Both times they made it difficult to schedule a tee time. Didn't return calls for 24 hours or more. For the round today I made a tee time a week and a half in advance. They stopped me and told me I couldn't make a reservation mo…
