What People Say
In summary
Sun Village Golf is frequently praised for its well-maintained par 3 course, beautiful setting, and friendly staff, offering a pleasant experience for those focusing on their short game. The back nine is noted for its challenging water hazards, adding excitement for more experienced golfers. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about strict rules regarding bag carrying and attire, which have affected their overall experience, particularly for families and junior golfers.

Amazing place, amazing staff. One of the most beautiful courses I’ve played on. I was visiting from LA and this course was stunning. The back 9 is challenging, so that was a lot of fun. Highly recommend it. The front staff at the golf club gave me some of the best hospitality/service Ive had in a while. 10/10. Will be coming back lots more.

I mean it's a fun par 3 course with lots of water on the back 9. Course was pretty rough (March), but weather was delightful. Always exciting to golf with fighter pilots in the sky above. Easy to book, good rental pull carts (no electric golf carts), and enough well positioned restrooms. Only issue are the single golfers who press forward, hover, and create pressure/tension on those of us just out for a fun, casual day of golf.

Cozy little par 3 tucked away in a neighborhood (you do have to stop at the entry gate and say you are golfing and get a parking pass). Friendly pro shop, reasonable prices for non residents. The first hole is a bit hidden across the street a fair ways away (no pun intended) but locals helped get us to the right place (might want to sign that a bit better). No water on the front 9 but we'll you are in a desert. (Only played front 9)

Very friendly. Par 3, not much over 140 yds. Most are around 100 from Blues and 70 from reds. Greens were perfect but super slow,, about a 5 on stump.

DO NOT PLAY HERE IF YOU ARE PLAYING WITH A KID. They expect kids to carry their own bag the entire time. Don’t dare to help them carry their own bag at any point. My father took my 7 year old nephew to play today. They play together all the time and have never experienced such callous rudeness from the staff. They were approached three times by the staff about my father carrying my nephews bag. When asked why he couldn’t carry it for him they stated “it was the rules.” An arbitrary rule with out any valid reasoning ruined their day. My nephew left so upset. They have played over 30 different c…

Lovely little course. LOTS of sand on the front. We only played nine. But will be playing 18 next time and bringing lots of balls due to all the water and the fact that we won't be able to retrieve any of them due to the course rules. Looking forward to the next time.

I grew up playing golf as a junior at Sun village with my grandpa with no problem. Our family has had a house inside Sun village for over 40 years. Today we tried to bring our kids out to play golf so they could experience the same thing i did growing up and got kicked off for helping carry our juniors bags along. We booked the last tee time of the day to stay out of peoples way, had no one behind us, 4 juniors playing golf and they kicked us off and would not refund our money that day. I am personally a PGA member and work at golf course and just experienced the absolute worst customer servic…

A beautifully kept 3 par course. The front 9 is great to high irons. The last 9 you are more concerned of not stepping or rolling your cart into Geese and Duck feces or find a clean spot in the tee box. If those areas are cleaned regularly I would rate this course higher. In all fairness, since I last wrote this review the greens have been cleaned and maintained a lot better. In the summer you don't have to worry about the Geese.

We can't play there any more since your clubhouse attendant traumatized my granddaughter by making a scene in the street about her wearing a pair of denim jeans shorts , which were well adorned and very pretty. The entire round my granddaughter felt everyone was watching her and waiting for them to ask why she was allowed to wear her shorts. It became so bad that she quit after the 7th hole and I had to take her home in tears. This situation could have been handled in a much more private or less dramatic way. During our play I observed two women in tank tops and two men in T shirts playing. So…

I played here yesterday with my fiance, her niece and boyfriend. Unfortunately we had a terrible customer service experience. On hole #9 tee, an "off-duty" ranger informed us we should not carry on to the back nine because we did not each have our own bag. We were walking the course! There was no pace of play issue! The girls had their own clubs, however we were just carrying them. It was an unbelievable display of lack of customer service skills exhibited from this "off-duty" ranger.

Love to golf 18 at this par 3 walking course. It's always in great condition, people are friendly, and it's very pretty. The second 9 has a lot of water, and I only lost one ball.
