In summary

Sunny Hills Golf Club receives praise for its improved course conditions, particularly the fairways and overall maintenance, as well as the friendly and professional staff. However, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the slow greens and the perceived high pricing relative to the course quality. Additionally, the removal of the military discount has been a point of contention for several guests.

I played this course several years ago and was completely dissatisfied with the horrible conditions I encountered. An “F-“ grade would be generous. I swore I would never return. Recently several friends played the course and said to give it another try. Reluctantly I decided to give this bad experience another try. I am glad I did! I gave this course a 5 Star rating today because someone had the vision and drive to turn a complete train wreck into an exceptionally enjoyable outing. While not a top tier high dollar course that you can find in Destin or Panama City Beach, it is a playable cours…

Ummm 🤔 Where to begin , if you are out here playing golf this is a great place to eat I suppose .. I’ve lived in this neighborhood over 11 years now & finally decided to try it . I’m really wishing we had gone some place else ,, The food it self isn’t that bad ,,, they have much improvement to he made on customer service .. Young man who took our order barely made eye contact & really didn’t listen to our order fully .. it’s my personal opinion that they are not very friendly in here .. No have a nice day when we left nothing .. I won’t be back .. Again if you happen to be on the golf course i…

As of January 6th 2025 Sunny Hills Golf Club is in the best condition I’ve seen the course in 3 years!!! Starting with the practice areas putting green, pitching/chipping green and driving range. Greens are much smoother and overall coverage is the best I’ve seen, every course bunker completely replenished with new high quality sand that allows you hit sand shots in a variety of ways short with spin to long length shots with ease. Driving range balls are new and pleasant to pitch and chip with due to soft compression and spin. Course tees fairways and greens are all overseeded with rye. The mo…

The good... Tee boxes were in good shape, I told the lady at the cash register it was my first time here and she gave me a course guide, golf cart ran well, fairways were in solid shape (for the most part) The bad was by far the greens. So slow and in poor shape overall. For just 9 holes and 30 range balls it was nearly $50. That's what I pay for 18 in Atlanta with prime greens. Obviously they benefit from not having much competition, but overall, I expected a bit better. Especially in early June and for the price. Still, there's nothing better close by, so I'll definitely be back. Just hop…

Phenomenal course! We stayed in pcb for our vacation but decided to make the drive up to this course and it was 100% worth it!

On vacation to PCB we decided to take the drive to play a better priced course. That was a mistake. First thing getting there I was 5 mins late for tee time but staff was rude until what seemed to be manager came out. Carts are gas and are in desperate need of a tune-up. Started on back 9 which was fine to help the play. It was not crowded so we had plenty of time. Tee boxes are sloped like a football field with a crown in the middle and was very awkward to hit from. Best thing about the course was the fairways. The were well maintained and had a nice feel. But the worst was the greens. They w…

Course was a little rough, greens were slow. They don't take cash, which bothers this old man.

Price has gone way up and quality of course is still poor.. Staff is great but 70 dollars for this course is terrible. Greens look good but extremely slow and a true roll does not exist.. Fairway are in poor condition. The ownership just ended military discount for veterans..I can golf cheaper on the PC beach as a local and at least play on a decent course..Dogwood Lakes still offer military discount and 30 dollar cheaper on identical course. Thanks again for the excellent staff at the course

Really enjoyable course to play. Pretty long and open. Greens were decent and fairways were cut. Definitely would play here again.

Hadn’t been here in a few years and I was blown away by the improvements they have made. Facilities are cleaner, brighter, and more welcoming. Staff is happy and friendly. And the course was a good value. Greens were slow rolling but well manicured and consistent. Good signage on the course. Great BLT at the turn in the clubhouse. Overall well worth the drive and a value versus other options within an hour or so drive of the beach.
