In summary

Tanglewood Golf Club receives mixed reviews, with some visitors praising the course for its friendly staff, well-maintained greens, and enjoyable layout suitable for various skill levels. However, others criticize the course conditions, management practices, and staff interactions, citing issues such as poor fairway maintenance, unprofessional behavior from staff, and restrictive policies on tee times and cart returns. While some appreciate the improvements and amenities like food truck events, others find the overall experience lacking compared to nearby alternatives.

Would leave 0 stars if possible, Tanglewood is easily the worst course in the area, which makes it even more frustrating that they act like it’s some kind of elite facility. The course itself is in terrible shape—poorly maintained, rough conditions, and absolutely not worth the hype or the attitude they give themselves. The staff makes it even worse. A guy working in the pro shop actually screamed at a 14-year-old for pulling a golf cart up to his own dad because he “didn’t have a license.” Completely unprofessional and unnecessary, especially when dealing with a kid. There were plenty of way…

Great local golf course in Milton, usually not too busy. They are in the process of redoing some of the greens. Nice new carts. They offer an affordable PM membership which allows you unlimited play in the afternoons. The staff is very friendly.

Little starter kid wanted to go home so badly. It’s your job to be there. Really tried to kick us off after 9 holes then told us on hole 16 to bring the carts in with an hr left of day light. Needs to grow up or get fired tbh

Its getting better but still mediocre. Cart return at 6:30 hurts afternoon players when other courses around have 7:15-7:30 cart returns. Fairways are bad but greens and fringe are getting better. Not sure if its still enforced but no drivers at the driving range is incredibly annoying. Staff is hit or miss. Some friendly, some act like they hate working at a golf course.

Tanglewood is a great golf course with play for all levels of experience. The time and money that have been invested in tending to the greens and fairways shows! I have never met anyone who works at there that isn’t friendly, supportive and great representatives for the course and game!

We recently joined Tanglewood and couldn’t be more pleased. This course is very nice, from the customer service of the staff, to the grounds maintenance, and crew. The course has a couple of clean restrooms to utilize during play. Course has some forgiving fairways, and more narrow challenging ones also. There is some usual and expected seasonal wear on a couple of the greens, due to winter, but mostly the course is well maintained and kept up with proper care. Highly recommend playing here and joining in on the great and fun game of golf!

Great place to play golf. Golf carts in great shape, cold water stations available throughout and reasonably priced.

This was pitiful. Shouldn’t even be a one-star, but it is the lowest it goes so this is what it’s getting. I have golfed all over the world for 5 years and this is by far the WORST experience I have ever had. I had a group of 8 with me and we got there 20 minutes early so we went ahead and started on the first hole. Before we could even get off the tee box, one of the staff members came up to us and said we have to go faster, which was okay if we were taking a long time to hit, but we just started and were getting through pretty fast. That was the first time so we just shrugged it off. Then,…

We are grateful for the fantastic staff at Tanglewood. Their food truck events are such a great asset to the neighborhood.

My sons and I have been playing here for roughly 15 years. Today was the worst experience I’ve ever had. When our tee time came there was a group of 5 on hole 1 and a group of 6 on hole 2, both groups hunting balls and playing very slowly. My son and I decided to jump on the back 9 first as it was wide open. In the past nothing has been said about this although in fairness I should have checked in with the pro shop before doing so. When we made the turn we got cold drinks and went to hole 1. At the tee box on 2 a polite young man who works there questioned what we were doing, and I explained.…

This past Sunday I had to pleasure, of revisiting this hidden gem good ol Tanglewood. All I have to say is please make your way out here and truly enjoy a new and improved Tanglewood. The management is as attentive to their guests needs as I have ever seen. The last time I visited this golf course almost a year to the day it was under a different grounds crew. On Sunday ladies and gentlemen was champion cup placement on greens and they running at or about 10.5- 11.5 on stint. The lines were true and the fairways rolled out for what seemed miles. Thank you the the staff on the grounds and also…
