In summary

Tayman Park Municipal Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained, scenic 9-hole course that offers a challenging layout with hilly terrain and small greens, making it both enjoyable and demanding for golfers. The staff is frequently commended for their friendliness and helpfulness, with amenities like a high-tech driving range enhancing the experience. However, some visitors mention issues with course drainage and management, including slow pace of play and difficulty in securing tee times.

Excellent 9-hole course, nicest in the area. Very well cared for, greens and fairways are in beautiful shape. Really nice practice area and driving range. We used the golf boards for fun, once you get the hang of them (took us about 5 holes) they are handy for individual players and faster play. We won’t rent them again, they are a little stressful to steer and noticed our back was tight from clamping hard holding on to the steering column and pressing the thumb accelerator switch (probably just us, still fun, just not for us). Pricey, I can play 9 ocean holes at The Links at Bodega Harbor for…

One of two, Alister Mackenzie's designs in Sonoma County. This course is going to be a challenge as every hole will feel like a signature hole on the 9 hole course. The majority of the holes have you hitting downhill or uphill to the fairway or greens. Be sure to bring a few extra balls as you may lose them out on the course. Some may be brought to their knees due to the difficulty, but you can enjoy a nice adult beverage (beer/wine/spirits) on the deck and talk it over with your friends. Don't forget to check out the three tiered driving range before your round to warm up or on a practice day…

Been coming here for years. Honestly for the price…. It’s a good course. My only “critique” is the drainage is terrible. Puddles and soft, muddy soil left weeks after a rain storm. Whereas when I play at other courses after a rainstorm it’s much more of a normal play without as much mud and water in the fairways. I would still recommend as long as you aren’t playing on the rainy season

My first time playing on this course, the third oldest 9 hole course in California, and loved it. It is a challenging and beautiful course. The staff could not be more welcoming and I definitely will return to play again.

The course is well maintained and the staff super nice! Kudos to Jordan who gave us all the tricks of the trade. The driving range is very cool too with top golf type technology. One word of advice though: unless you’re up for a solid workout, get an electric cart. The course is hilly! Merry Christmas everybody

I’m visiting from TX, and Amanda Beeler popped up as the top golf pro to take lessons from. I drove all the way from sonoma for my lesson, and if i could give her 10 stars I would. I had a great time- as a brand nee golfer. She is absolutely amazing- and I completely recommend her. They also have a driving range, and a virtual driving range as well. And she also offers driving lessons. No golf clubs, no problem- she has a set for you!

Fun 9 hole course. Pretty challenging despite being short, with lots of different types of holes with interesting terrain and hazards. Greens are small and hard to hit. Pace can be slow but that’s the nature of muni golf.

Course was wet, but can't wait to play when things dry out. Lots of really interesting terrain. High tech range and the staff are the best!

Hilly municipal course. Locals only tip - you can play "winter rules" here basically year around with how the course drainage is. All the plugs. Have a beer on the best golf course balcony in Norcal and chop it up with some local legends. Driving range bays all have free top tracer too!

We had a lovely time here - the course was in great shape and some of the holes were fairly challenging! Very hilly - we loved the exercise but would recommend getting a cart if mobility is an issue. Everyone at the pro shop was super friendly… would definitely come back again.

Nice course. But you cannot get a tee time unless you have friends or like playing with strangers, so realistically I guess I won't get to play this course again. Very frustrating, but hey what's more important than making money?
