The Club at Pronghorn

Two of the best courses I've had the privilege of playing. The Fazio course was more forgiving than the Nickalaus course (Jack apparently loves sand traps, narrow landing areas, and greens that have huge collection areas if you're off just a bit). If you walk, you save $40 on each course, but I'd make sure you bring something to clean you clubs/ball with as the ball washers and club cleaners are only on the carts.

Played Nicklaus course for the first time, such a great course that makes you think. There’s strategic holes that make you go conservative and others let you go for it. Excellent condition and will return. Get an afternoon tee time if you can for nice evening light. Also a great practice area for short game.

Was in the area and decided to take a drive out to Pronghorn. We stayed here a number of years ago when it first opened. It is amazing to see how it has developed. There is now a hotel, spa, fitness center and more. Everything here is top notch.

What a great resort golf course, fairways were in excellent condition, the greens seemed to have some minor issues, but still good. Fantastic views and provides sufficient challenges. Unfortunately, there are more houses being built, which means it will loose some of its natural feel. Beautiful club house! The practice facilities are also top notch!

Just didn't seem very inviting. No good signage... had to hunt for check in... for golf shop. No smiles, except for the starter on #1, he was cool. Had great time golfing. Great views and tremendous placements.

Pronghorn was really special. Very first class experience overall from the first greeter in the parking lot, to the pro shop staff, to the starter and food service folk. Definitely an expensive golf course, but very much worth it. The golf course is both challenging and playable. Green's had plenty of slope with interesting pin locations, without being over the top difficult. Conditioning was excellent, and multiple holes stood out as spectacular. Great course. I saw layouts at this course that I've never seen before. Fun holes, challenging, beautiful. Also the food was reasonably priced and tasted great.

We were lucky enough to play both the Fazio and the Nicklaus courses. Both were in great shape, fairways and greens were perfectly manicured although a bit on the slower side. The Fazio is pretty wide open where the Nicklaus requires more accuracy. The group I was with enjoyed the Fazio more where I actually liked the Nicklaus course as I felt like the holes were a bit more memorable. If you can, take the motorized bike out on the course as we had a blast with them. It goes 21mph, crazy fast. From the time our group arrived to having Mason help us with our golf bags and club clean at the end of the round, the overall experience and service model stands head and shoulders above the other resort courses in Central Oregon.

Played the Nicklaus course and that was it (no resort stuff). The course was very pretty and conditions were better than most. Personally though, I found it to be overly difficult and several holes would take maybe 3-4 times playing to figure out what you need to do to score well

Course was in immaculate shape and the back nine was among the most scenic I've ever played. This is a course that will certainly punish errant shots though. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
