In summary

The Club at Shannondell is praised for its well-maintained course, enjoyable layout, and welcoming staff, making it a popular choice for both golfing and hosting events like weddings. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the management of tee times, availability of golf carts, and slow pace of play, which can detract from the overall experience. Despite these issues, the venue's amenities, including the onsite restaurant and event facilities, receive positive feedback.

I had an excellent experience here. The course was in fantastic condition, the layout was both enjoyable and challenging, and the overall atmosphere made it a place I immediately wanted to come back to. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming and professional, which made the experience even better. After spending time here, I can confidently say this is a course I plan on visiting often, and I’ll very likely be pursuing a membership in the future. I’m looking forward to playing many more rounds here. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great golf experience.

We had a gorgeous wedding at The Club at Shannondell! I had multiple people come up to me at the wedding, asking how I learned about this gem of a venue, and honestly all I could say was sheer luck! Of all the wedding venues we toured, The Club at Shannondell had the most personality, had the most delicious smelling food wafting in from the onsite restaurant, and we knew it would be where we got married. Huge shoutout to the Events Manager, Roxanne, who was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and a huge help. Here is a couple of key things that make this place stand out above the…

Shannondell policy of no Golf carts to be given out after 2 PM is ridiculous! On 4 different occasions, I’ve been told, “if you want to walk, only then you can play.. it’s our policy “!! What a ridiculous policy… people go and spend their money and are told off this ridiculous policy. Obviously they don’t want your business. Well, for Shannondell’s information, there are many other better places to play around in this area and they happily accept my money.

This was my third round playing here. I want to give this place five stars, but there are two big problems that need to be addressed: So many of the sand traps are just dirt. How hard is it to load up a dump truck with sand and fill in these rocky craters? Turn on your hot dog rollers and heat up some hot dogs. 8am tee time golfers will buy a 10am hot dog at the turn. Too late in the season? Do you guys hate free money? Takes 3 minutes of work.... Fix one of these two things and I'll change my review to 5 stars. Otherwise the course is fantastic and love playing here. I'll be back.

There’s a reason tee times are frequently available while others are booked, and we won’t be coming back here anytime soon. $77 and our tee time was nearly 30 mins behind. They had 3 rangers staffed but all they did was stand around the podium under the umbrella, while one would walk over and start people. But don’t worry, they were making sure people didn’t park to close because “it’s going to get busy later” and made players coming in move their cars farther off into the parking lot. No instructions were given about keeping pace of play, and we didn’t see a ranger the entire round. Our tee t…

I was interested to see a cluster of recent poor reviews, as I used to play here a lot and always had a good experience. Today, not so much. They allow a single to book a tee time online, which isn’t that common, but they back that up with absolutely no knowledge of how to send off groups. Sending out a single behind 5 foursomes and before another is a joke. 3 starters/rangers, but they are all just sitting under an umbrella. No carts were available at first, so I carried my bag over to the fairly distant putting green and back. Zero enforcement of pace of play or course etiquette. Dudes pl…

Played this course during a federal holiday. Arrived for tee time and was told they are over 30 minutes behind schedule and no carts available. Had to wait around to eventually play a 5 and a half hour round which included walking the first hole until a cart was available. 8 minute tee times and essentially no ranger monitoring pace of play lead to an absolute disaster. Only thing that prevented the day from being miserable was nice staff and course was in solid condition. Management needs to do better they let customers and staff down.

Played this course Saturday for the first time and it was slow going. 3 groups on #6 tee box. Call proshop, no answer. Not one ranger seen all day. Course is well maintained, although apparently many players never heard of ball mark repair tool. Not a very long course and front 9 seemed repetitive in terms of design. Also holes are way to close together, with identical landing yardages. I've never heard "fore" so much. On many holes felt like I was going to get drilled by someones slightly errand tee shot. Nice clubhouse, bar, restaurant, but course layout is ho-hum, nothing really memorable.

Extremely rude. First, I called for a tee time for a single and was told on that they couldn’t give me a tee time because they’d run out of carts. When I explained I’m a single joining a threesome’s tee time for 9 holes (no need for an extra cart), they just repeated themselves 3x and then told me that golfers don’t want to ride with a stranger (that’s a first on a golf course since I’ve done it 100x elsewhere). Finally convinced the guy, reluctantly, to give me a tee time. Second, when I showed up, they couldn’t have been more rude. The pro shop guy was saying $75 to me before I ever arrive…

Just had my Daughter's sweet 16 Party. Dianne is awesome and the staff were very attentive. Food was very good and price was great. I highly recommend for your next event!

Will never play here again. Very poor layout. Too many doglegs which leads to bad players constantly in your fairway and people with no golf etiquette. Took an average of 20 minutes per hole, waiting every t box, so we didn’t bother to finish and stopped after 14. Didn’t see a single Marshal out to help with the pace of play. Saw at least a couple solos out playing by themselves and it was a Sunday. Pretty sure they ran out of golf carts, a group took ours the second we got back probably because they were all out on the course

I enjoy the course. Well kept but way too many dog legs and intersections that you’re not safe at. Also the pace of play should be better managed. Additionally, I called 10 times over the last 3 hours and no one has picked up the phone from the golf shop. Eventually I was redirected to another employee of the restaurant I assume, however, I could not understand her nor get any of my questions answered.
