What People Say

In summary

The Hooch Golf Club is appreciated for its well-maintained executive course layout, offering a good value for the price and a friendly atmosphere for players of all skill levels. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the condition of the greens and tee boxes, as well as occasional issues with customer service and course management. Despite these criticisms, the club remains a popular choice for those seeking a casual and affordable golfing experience.

Had a lot of fun on the Par 3 course, but I was surprised to see a lot of brown spots where the grass should have been green.

Great value for the price. It's a good course, not great but what do you expect. I feel like people really need to put it into perspective for what they are paying. Yes, the guys in the clubhouse have zero personality but so what. You're going to see them for 2 minutes. It's a great value course and they layout is good with better than average course conditions.

Great short course especially if you like to walk. All grass range.

Was one of the few places that someone who was learning the game could go and learn to play golf without intimidation. It was beautiful, well-laid out, and had enough par-4's to make it seem like a regulation course and not an executive one. That said, it's sold now and will be developed into 900+ homes. That beautiful green space that was affordable and quick to play is now lost forever. I was lucky enough to play it for many years and played it on it's last day. A very, very sad day for those of us who loved it.

Well maintained course. Mostly par 3's but enjoyable, beautiful place. Staff was very helpful.

Great executive golf course. No par 5s, but you will use every club in your bag. The course is very well maintained and has an excellent practice range. The average player on the course is very friendly and keeps up a good pace.

If you're a real golfer... this place is a good warm up. Although I don't think they've bought new range balls since the turn of the century. Course is decent shape, but it's an "executive" size course.

I recently went to the hooch for first time. At first I was happy with the course. For an executive course it was ok. The greens were in poor condition, as well as the tee boxes. After a few holes you could see that maintenance was not a priority. After we teed off on hole 17 we were told we had to leave the course, because it was closed. There was plenty of light left, and the ranger was very rude about it. I have never been kicked off a course when there is plenty of light left to finish a round. I was incredibly shocked at how rude this ranger was. I have since learned that there has recent…

Ok we played early morning lots of people showing up at the same time good place to hone your short irons. Putting greens have a lot to be desired. I guess alot of the people that play here don't understand repairing your ball marks. Also as a service remember greens are not the place to spit your sunflower seeds are cigarettes butts. It's golf not your trailer Also don't have Jr rates cost more to play here than my normal nicer course who only charges me 11 for my 9yo

Greens are very rough and it appears no one repairs a ball mark. Sand traps are unplayable. Good luck finding accurate yardage on the tees. Fairways were recently mowed and the massive clumps of clippings suggested it had been awhile. Some tees are uneven and many holes are gimmicky. The clientele seems better suited for a batting cage or water park. This isn't golf. It's barely a step up from a driving range.

First of all, I booked a Tee Time online, got a confirmation email with the rate per person listed, printed it out, took it in, and was charged more than price listed on the confirmation email. When I asked the man at their clubhouse why it was more than the booked rate, he said they had just aerated their greens and it was one flat discounted rate which should have been the same price as their super-twilight rate. I then pointed out my confirmation email rate was still cheaper, he just told me it was listed wrong. I know it was only $5 per person, but DO NOT trust their website's prices. Sec…

This is a great golf experience. Full practice area, with putting greens and sand bunker for chipping. And an 18 hole course that is well maintained. It's not a full length course, but challenging none the less.
