The Meadows at Grand Valley State

Played 18 with a cart and would play the course again. It is a mix of a links course with a lot of heather and trees like a typical Michigan course. Water in play on most holes and bunkers in landing areas make it a challenge. Smart play on some holes is to play to a spot rather than just booming a driver. Greens were in great shape and rolled true but unfortunately not many people know how to fix ball marks so lots of time cleaning up the greens was needed. Enjoyed the round and the facility is great. Carts need an upgrade.

PURE! From tee, to fairway, to green this place is pure. This was my first time playing here and luckily was paired with a guy who used to played for GVS golf team because at 7:30am the fog was heavy and couldn't see much for 4 holes. Make sure you hit some putts because you go out because the greens are QUICK!

Pro shop Staff/ Maintenance crew were friendly and courteous. I’ll give them an A+ The course was in fantastic shape but I’ve never played here before and the greens were very unforgiving and rolled like crazy leading to some challenging play.

Great course and we'll maintained. Some wide open fairways and some tight tee boxes. A good mix of long and short par fours. Fun to play but not easy

This course is fantastic and always in pristine condition. The grounds crew is top notch. Nice electric carts. I used to work here when I went to GVSU and I played here for free, now I come back a few times a season to play at the alumni rate. Make sure to play early in the season (April or May) while the tall heather grass isn’t fully grown in yet. And then come back and play in July or August and it’s a different course. The range and practice facility are also amazing!

Have played this course several times. Greens were faster than normal. Probably due to the cold. Very nice course. Will play here again for sure.

They must have 3 minutes between tee times. Before we even made it to the first tee box the course cop was yelling at us for hitting our first ball 1 minute after our tee time. 1:30 tee time, he asked us what our time was, then asked "do you know what time it is now?" It was 1:31...

Had a great experience and my first time playing here..... the staff was very friendly... the entire course is very well taken care of the tee boxes were very nice and soft, the fairways well-kept the greens were like greased lightning super smooth hard and quick. A great value if you play during the week...

One of the Best Public Courses in Michigan! The Meadows at GVSU is a must-play for any serious golfer in West Michigan. The course is beautifully maintained with fast, true greens and challenging layouts that reward strategy and precision. It’s a links-style course with plenty of variety and some truly scenic holes. We had bought a Golfgroupon to visit this course, and it did NOT disappoint. From the clubhouse to the cart it was amazing. The course is a challenging one but in absolutely amazing condition.....the fairways were like most courses greens!! Everyone we came in contact with were kind and friendly. Shout out to Ryan, gentleman and a scholar for showing us the way as we golfed!! 1st rate course GVSU!!! THANK YOU!!

Best value in the area - not an easy course, but conditions are incredible. They keep investing more cash into improvements- definitely a must play!!! I personally think the staff is great, guess I have not met this ranger people are complaining about?
