What People Say

In summary

The Peninsula on the Indian River Bay Golf Club is frequently praised for its upscale amenities, including a signature golf course, private beach, and well-maintained grounds, making it a desirable location for both living and vacationing. Visitors appreciate the friendly and knowledgeable staff, as well as the variety of activities available within the gated community. However, some criticisms include ongoing construction noise, which can detract from the tranquility, and concerns about the community's appeal primarily to retirees, potentially limiting its inclusivity for younger residents.

A true utopian place, a gate asking for identification to enter a community in the bay side of Delaware not even beach front is insane to me when the houses inside are nothing of extraordinary. Placed 5 feet apart from each other with cookie cutter designs. If you like being told how to live in a home you payed for with your hard earned money this is the place for you! I came in expecting to see multi-million dollar homes from the gate alone but when I saw the typical beach or shall I bay homes. There is a trailer park less than a mile away don’t kid yourself this community is no better than…

The Peninsula is an upscale gated community with many amenities such as a signature golf course, private beach, clubhouse, and their very own wave pool. There is definitely not a shortage of activities right on the property. The landscaping through out the community is well maintained. I must say before actually entering the community you are met by friendly, polite, and knowledgeable security personnel. If you are visiting for the first time and have no clue of where or how to get to your destination, the security staff ( even if they have a line of cars waiting to get in on a holiday weekend…

Our family recently purchased a home in The Peninsula and we have been loving our weekend getaways. However this past weekend, while home alone, we accidentally were locked out on a 2nd floor porch. We called the development and within 5 minutes Katie came to our home and “saved us.” :) While this place aesthetically beautiful, it’s things like this that we will tell our friends and family about, and it shows true value and how special it is here.

Nice community, but they have had ongoing new construction for years, so roads are in bad shape/half unpaved and it is not a peaceful place. I'm currently sitting on a relative's porch on a federal holiday, listening to a builder's saw going nonstop on another new home being constructed a few hundred yards away. All the nature and isolated surroundings doesn't matter if you can't even enjoy it on a holiday weekend. If you want to spend all day inside, I'm sure it's fine. But some people move to communities like this for a tranquil walkable, bikeable, golf community to spend time outside and it…

A wonderful place to live. The grounds and amenities are outstanding, our friends and neighbors who are of all ages have become life long friends. Troon is the best golf management company in the country, we are fortunate to have them. They have had to work through changes with the new club house but they are open to feedback. I highly recommend the Peninsula.

I have had a condo in The Peninsula for 10 years - I warn you, do NOT buy a place here unless you are 60 or older. This community only is concerned with retirees and has discriminatory policies towards younger buyers. Retirees are encouraged to bring their relatives to the property but younger people are not allowed to. It's reverse ageism and I feel completely un-welcomed at the community I helped to create. I have complained many times to Troon management and they don't care at all. It's disgusting and I honestly hate coming here. No one will tell you the real truth because they are so worri…
