What People Say

In summary

The Preserve at Oak Meadows is highly praised for its beautiful course layout, excellent conditions, and well-maintained facilities. The staff is noted for being friendly and accommodating, and the clubhouse offers a great dining experience with a variety of menu options. While the course is generally well-regarded, some visitors have mentioned that the greens can occasionally be slower or uneven, and securing a tee time can be challenging due to its popularity.

Got to play here last Saturday afternoon right after I got done playing at Harborside in the morning. The front 9 has more of a northeastern forest style course with a lot of trees guarding the left and/or right hand sides near the fairways. Back nine opens up way more BUT you have to be super careful on what clubs you hit off the tee. Some of the tee shots force you to hit either 200 yards in or less, otherwise your ball will completely go past the fairway and it’ll be gone in the hazards. Tee boxes, fairways, and bunkers were in perfect shape. Greens were slightly on the slower side and ever…

Beautiful course, great conditioning, friendly staff, great facilities, nice bar/restaurant with a gorgeous view. Barbacoa nachos were huge, great to share, and yummy. one of my favorite West burbs courses.

Great course, don’t play here often but it’s definitely worth playing. Hands down probably one of the top 10 courses in Chicagoland. Top notch club house, restaurant is great. Very difficult getting tee time so enjoy when you have an opportunity to play. Score a 82 from middle tees. greens are average speed, not slow or fast. overall course is well maintained and unique layouts.

Top five course in the area. Easy 1st hole followed up by a monster 2nd hole. and just gets better and better!!! Tee times get booked up quick but a good system so if your lucky you can find a good prime cancelation spot. Newer clubhouse but the track got a refresh like 5 years ago I think. So a lot of people are still sleep on this place. But this is a favorite of mine for sure.

The course is beautiful and does not play overly difficult. The bat & restaurant are very nice. The patio is stellar and I can't wait to get back with my wife. I should have taken more photos. The pulled pork shoulder sandwich with fries was very good. I appreciate the quality of the fries and the amount of meat on the sandwich. Order extra pickles.

First, just sitting on the deck looking out at a forest preserve is an awesome experience. It was a beautiful day. Second I love the appetizer brussel sprouts. The flavors and just a touch of heat was great. It was roasted to perfection. There is a reason it's been on the menu whenever I eat here. When I golfed, I had the chicken sandwich when making the turn. Usually when golfing anywhere I'll get a sausage. I can rely on a sausage being palpable at worst and enjoyable at best. I went out of my comfort zone and ordered the chicken sandwich. The flavors were a hit. I don't remember what the fl…

Incredible natural beauty with really fun golf at a reasonable price; hard to beat! Staff are also friendly and the restaurant is top notch especially for a public golf course.

This is a new restaurant that opened about a month ago the the new Preserve golf course. They have the perfect size menu so you don't spend hours reading it. Also have a good selection of spirits and wines. Food was very good and nice size portions. Must try the Brussel Sprout nachos! Go with your friends or family and enjoy a very goof meal.

Extremely fair, challenging and diverse course. Long par 4s, short par 4s, birdie opportunities with well placed iron shots. Good range of distances on the par 3s. Par 5s can be reached in two with aggressive lines off the tee and solid long iron or fairway woods. Greens have subtle break. Slow river cuts through the whole course and comes into play on around 5 or 6 holes. The fairways are beautiful.

The burger I had was boring and way over cooked. I was expecting some exciting flavors but it fell mainly flat and those pickles did NOT work at all. Also it's quite expensive. Good for a date but not a regular meal. The building is modern and fantastic! The service was great! Ambiance is clean and modern very bright with many windows.
