In summary

The Quarry at Crystal Springs is often praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice among golfers in the St. Louis area. The course offers a variety of holes with scenic views and is considered a good value for its condition and setting. However, some visitors have noted issues with the pace of play and interactions with course marshals, as well as the need for improved maintenance in certain areas like the miniature golf course and parking lot.

This is genuinely the most upsetting round of golf I have ever played. I am in a 9 hole league and a simulator league, so I am not some brand new player. My opponent and I were warming up on the range, as we arrived early. With half our buckets left, the first ranger arrived to rush us to the tee because someone in front of us canceled. Then, after paying 75 DOLLARS for the round, we were paired with people far better than us (scratch golfers vs 100ish per 18 holes). When we hit the turn at 9, a ranger was there to tell us we were playing 10 minutes behind. Oh crap, better hurry up. So we did.…

Course is weird because like 15 or 16 holes feel fun and are great but then another 3 just feel shoehorned in to make it be 18 holes. Specifically there's 2 par 3s you arrive to and go "did we run out of space?". Most importantly though is that it's expensive. The range is expensive compared to everyone else and the course is charging premium prices especially since they don't really drop the price throughout the day. It's fun the first time but gets old quick

This review is focused on the club house and driving range, not the course itself. The course is actually quite nice to play with great hole layouts, great conditions, plenty of water to make things challenging, and an all around fun place to play. The people working there are great as well. Over the years though, there seem to be growing gaps of maintenance and presentation that undercut what could otherwise be a top-tier facility. The abandoned miniature golf course that greets guests is probably what most negatively impacts the quality of the experience. The concrete in this area is broken…

Great course. The staff was friendly and nice to talk to. After an Uber ride declined us due to golf bags, Nash stepped up and gave us a ride to the airport. Outstanding customer service. Going above and beyond!!! We thank all of you!

I love the Quarry even if it doesn't love me as my scores here continue to prove to me. Certainly a challenging course with some cool holes, a great driving range with grass tees and mats, a seperate chipping area, practice bunker and putting green. Staff is always incredibly friendly. One of the best public courses in the St. Louis area.

I enjoyed playing this course. Although Google says they open at 0730, when I called at the end of the day on Thursday Caroline said if I got there when they opened at 0630 they could probably fit me in. I was paired with 71 yr old Mike and his wife who didn't look close to 71 even though they had been married forever. We all walked and as the second group off finished in 3 hr 15 minutes. Grass is good in all the fairways. Greens are smooth. Many have pretty severe undulations. There are a lot of dogleg. $33 was a senior or military rate which isn't horrible. I would have paid the $40 but th…

Played 18 holes on a Saturday. The course was in pretty good shape considering all the rain we've had. The pace of play was not bad. The women's tee boxes were a little rough, but they had resoded several of them, trying to get them in better shape. The only downside is that hole number 9 does not come back to the clubhouse. We had asked prior to starting if we would be able to buy beers at the turn and we're told yes and also that there would be a cart person out on the course, but neither of those things were true. We were on whole number 13 when one of the maintenance guys was driving by, a…

Off the charts BEAUTIFUL. Friendly staff. Nice day of golf. Where to go for the next hole was a little confusing but there was always someone around to help.

The course layout has variety and you don't see the same hole twice. Being in a quarry, there is not much room for water to drain - especially after the recent round of thunderstorms. So expect damp areas. Wildlife is plentiful and the deer have no fear of golfers. This is a great course for those who are not too wild. The bordering high grass will grab and hide any wayward shots. 4 stars for the wet sloppy conditions in some areas.
