In summary

Treasure Hills Country Club has received praise for its significant improvements under new ownership, with many highlighting the well-maintained greens, challenging layout, and friendly staff. The addition of new amenities like the driving range and upgraded golf carts has enhanced the overall experience. However, some visitors have noted inconsistencies in course conditions, such as sparse fairways and rough tee boxes, and a few have experienced issues with signage and cart paths.

New ownership took over about a year and a half ago, and golfers throughout the RGV can agree this course has come a long way. The passion, time, and investment truly shows ..the greens are excellent, the course is well maintained, and the new Driving Range/Toptracer system is a huge upgrade. The staff is great and the beverage selection is solid. This has to easily be one of the top courses in the RGV and the best part is, it’s still open to the public.

Great course all around. The fairways and greens were in really good shape and the layout was fun without being frustrating. Staff was friendly and the pace of play was smooth. Easy place to enjoy a solid round of golf. Definitely coming back.

One of the best golf courses in the Valley. Under the new management things have really improved. They are making great cosmetic improvements and the greens are in the best shape ever. The new electric carts are a real winner with a cooler, club washer and even club cover in case of rain. The club house personnel is very friendly and accommodating making everyone feel welcome. .

This course has taken a huge turnaround in the right direction. New owners have really stepped up their game and have obviously invested a lot into making this course what it truly can be. Greens are always running smooth and the new driving range set up is great. Friendly helpful staff is also a big plus. The course is in great shape and only getting better.

As a Winter Texan, I am pleased with the course and play it once a week with our RV park friends. It is an interesting and, at times, a challenging track. Green conditions are very good for this climate, some rough and fairway areas can be hard pan, but there is grass to play from. They water from the ponds and resaca. The club house staff is accommodating and pleasant with snacks and drinks available.

The current owners are doing a nice job with this golf course. The greens are among the best in the area. The layout is challenging with water and bush hazards lining mostly generous fairways. The fairway lies are a bit tight but most courses in the area are similar. The staff are friendly and helpful. A course worth playing in the Harlingen area.

The new owners have definitely put in a lot of effort into restoring the course and keeping it clean! Greens, fairways, tee boxes and cart paths are consistently being worked on to improve course conditions. One of the better courses to play in the valley right now as they have made fun to play again. The driving range is also open in the evenings if you want to work on your swing or play a simulated course and have some drinks with friends. The only thing missing is a kitchen for those who like to hang out after their round and get something to eat. They do however offer a variety of snack fo…

I must say, I was expecting a better experience having heard that the course was much improved as it was my first time playing. Unfortunately I was left disappointed. Greens were in incredibly rough shape, looking like they’ve gone under some recent work. Many of the tee boxes were barren. The cart paths show age and need some work. Signage around the course is hard to follow and carts can be a bit aggravating. The layout of the course has MUCH potential and some parts of the course are lush. But it just isn’t consistent across the course. I’ll try it again in the future, but won’t rush rig…

The playing conditions at Treasure Hills have improved significantly since the new ownership. The greens and fairways are great, the course is challenging, and the staff are welcoming. They've totally refurbished the driving range, too. All around, it's great playing there.

A gem of a course, particularly given the modest green fees. Both fairways and greens are in excellent condition despite the drought. About half the holes, mainly in the front 9, are set amidst native vegetation but with generously wide fairways, the other half have houses flanking the holes.

Treasure Hills never disappoints! The course is always looking good, the greens play smooth, and it’s just a really enjoyable place to golf. It’s laid back, well maintained, and perfect whether you’re playing seriously or just out there to have fun. Great atmosphere and friendly staff every time. Definitely a 5-star spot!
