In summary

Ventura Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, featuring smooth greens and a beautiful layout that appeals to golfers of various skill levels. The staff is often described as friendly and welcoming, contributing to a positive atmosphere. However, some visitors have noted issues such as the lack of a driving range on-site and occasional delays in service from the cart staff. Additionally, proximity to the airport can result in some noise from low-flying planes.

The golf course was very dry and hard. In February there was nothing green. And since it is very close to the airport, a planes fly very low. But the course is interesting and has long drives.

Visiting from Canada. Excellent condition in spite of the lack of rain. 3.5 hour round playing as a single behind a twosome and a foursome. There wasn't a bad lie anywhere. Greens were immaculate and firm. Ball marks were mostly repaired. I only found a few others aside from my own to repair. Subtle breaks and ran true. Great layout. I don't think there was a hole I didn't like. Very playable from the back tees at 6000 yards. Beastly par 3's. I'll definitely be back.

Ventura Country Club Golf Course is a fantastic place to play - challenging enough to keep it interesting but fun for all skill levels. The layout is beautiful and well‑maintained, with lush fairways, smooth greens, and scenic water features that make each round enjoyable. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the pace of play stays comfortable. Great spot to hit the links, unwind with friends, and enjoy a solid day of golf. Definitely one of my favorites in the area.

If you’re looking for a casual, well-maintained course, this is a great choice. The fairways and greens are consistently in good condition, and it’s clear that the staff truly care about the game. I play here about once a month, and every visit delivers a solid, enjoyable round where you can comfortably work on different aspects of your game. While the course is a bit shorter than some others, that actually makes it ideal for overall improvement. With very competitive pricing and a welcoming atmosphere, this is a course I’m happy to recommend—and one I’ll definitely continue coming back to.

Nice course . Fast greens and the course is in good shape. I will play again the next time I'm in town. They do not have a driving range on site, but one available if you want to get back in your car and drive appropriately 1 mile. .

Magical neighborhood, from friendly neighbors to people working out and taking walks. Dogs abound waggling their tails up and down the main road. I moved into here about a month ago. One of the best ppl to be able to fly my Drone and just enjoy being outside. Obviously if you golf, this is the icing on the cake.

The last 5 rounds - Very firm and fast greens. All the greens are elevates and there is no grass 20 yards around the greens. Miss a green; leave the wedge in the bag. The greenskeeper definitely has anger issues. All the cups are cut on the slopes of the green. If the greenskeeper moved them just 3' to either side, they would atleadt be on the flats. Also, every hole had a mini volcano at the cup. A 2' putt shouldnt break 2 cups !!!

As an owner of a Southpoint property I am disgusted by the condition of our pool area and broken hot tub for the past 3 months. We pay hoa fees to Ventura and Southpoint for what! Amenities we cant even use! Raintree has key card locks and I bet cameras that actually work. When I complained the first time I was told to just tell people not to beak the hot tub..thats not my job..whats the hoa for then!.

Highly recommend this course. It is one of my favorite tracks! Bring a cooler for your bevy’s tho! They don’t have coolers for the cart. If they did I’d be able to give them 5 stars!
