Village Links of Glen Ellyn

Our family has grown up enjoying the golf course and amenities for generations of The Village Links of Glen Ellyn. It all started with my Dad becoming friends with the well-renowned, PGA Professional, Ed Posh. My Dad and many golf friends had regular weekend tee times for years even before the clubhouse was built. Ed's youth golf lessons and tournaments as a youngster gave me endless enjoyment of the game of golf throughout my life. Village Links Glen Ellyn 18 hole course is an excellent track. Well maintained, with sand bunkers especially nice to hit from when necessary. Pace of play was a bit slower than I'd expected, at 4 hours and 55 minuted on a mid-day Friday in August. Fairways and tee boxes both show evidence of heavy play. Greens pock marked but roll true. Maintenance team should be applauded for their efforts to keep the course in good shape. That said, some parts of fairways did have thin regions. Round was very challenging but enjoyable for the most part. My issue was the female starter on the first tee of the 18-hole course. I had a threesome and we got paired with someone else last minute. We pull up to the first tee and I’m in the solo cart while my two partners are in the other cart. Without even greeting or saying hello she sternly says “you need to get into this cart” pointing at the random player of the group’s cart. I then asked if I had to and she went on a tangent about how that’s their policy and she tried to convince me to pay $20 more dollars to have the cart to myself. Sh…

Great outside casual dining experience. Wonderful setting , good service and reasonably priced meals will keep us coming back.

Love the 9 hole course but it needs some TLC Where the carts drive there are a lot of holes and uneven grounds around the Tee Box area. This area needs something like gravel or filled in with mulch

9 hole course tee boxes in bad shape, divots old tees everywhere, no maintenance. More than 20 plus years of playing here.

One of the most beautiful courses I’ve played on. It is maintained very well. It has some nice greens that you’ll have fun playing on that is for sure. I absolutely love playing here.

Beautiful lush golf course. We play the nine hole and it is enjoyable if you are riding or walking. It is not hard to get tee times we decided that this will be our regular course this summer and go the VIP member ship?

Update 3/16/22 They added different colored posts along the left side of the driving range this year. By far the best driving range in Chicagoland area especially given the 15 bucket deal. Hopefully thia year I can play the course and review as well. From the views it looks spectacular. 2021: Driving range is great with grass tees and and amazing 15 bucket deal. I'd give 4.5 stars if I could though because one thing that's severely lacking is a flag between the black and white flag on the left side of the range. Makes half the driving range less usable.

This Happened 2 times, once last week and then yesterday July 31st. I am retired and don't check my email on a regular. Then sent out an email blast to whomever had booked a tee time. 1st time it was myself and my grandson, was 90 plus degrees, after reluctantly using a push cart. Walked the 1st 9 holes, no water anywhere on the 1st 9 holes. Instead of continuing I ask for a manager, Vince whom understood my position and game me a rain check for the aggravation. Again on July 31st only 78 degrees they sent out another email NO CARTS, WALKING ONLY. WALKED THE ENTIRE COURSE......NO WATER ANYWHER…

Great course's and always run into people I enjoy playing with. Also a nice 9 hole course to take my grandchildren to. Easy pace for the family to play and relax after on the patio.

I havent played here since early 90s when i moved out of the area. Can't say enough good things about this golf course. Great value compared to many other courses in the area. Staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The track itself was impeccable. Fast and true greens, well maintained tees and fairways. An all around excellent course. Very customer focused! Thanks for a great round.
