Hey if you want to play a nice layout while it's in the best condition it's been in, in quite some time, then tee it up at Walden Country Club. The course and greens are back to really, really great shape. Speed of play has been 4 hours a round any day of the week I played. Go see for yourself.

I’ve played everything from Oakmont, Seminole, and Winged Foot etcetera to the only course in a small town, and I can say Walden was one of the poorest maintained courses I’ve ever played. I got a Golf Now hot deal for $30, and I would say it’s worth $10-15. Don’t waste your money!

I recently had an uncomfortable experience at Walden Country Club that I feel is important to share. During my visit, I was wearing a high-neck style top with my shoulders exposed, which was tucked in and appropriate for the setting. However, instead of addressing me directly, an employee approached my fiancé and his friend and stated, “she needs to wear a shirt next time,” referring to me. I found this approach unprofessional and uncomfortable. If there was a concern regarding dress code, it should have been communicated respectfully and directly to me. Additionally, I have visited the cours…

I was very surprised to see reviews from last year saying that the course was in bad shape. I played the front nine yesterday while I had some time to kill in the area, and thought it was a beautiful course and in great shape. And I think I only paid $27 with a cart, so it was excellent value. I’ll definitely be back. I’ll agree with others that this is a challenging course, so not great for beginners. Some holes are very narrow, and there are several significant water hazards (see photo, which I think is tee box on 8). My only complaint is that I found teeing off from the blues on hole 9 ve…

This course hs so much potential, but it fell short in a few areas. First, the fact that there was no water on the course in the middle of the summer was disappointing. Next, there was some electrical issue at the club house and there was no food at the turn. And, thirdly, and most importantly, the greens were some of the worst I have ever played at anywhere. On so many holes, we literally had to put through sand and dirt due to the patches throughout so many of the greens. Most of the greens were filled with weed, which made putting espectially difficult. When greens are that neglected, I un…

Walden county club is just looking for your money. The course is poorly groomed and has had dead area’s on greens for years. Never looking into fixing anything. They grass isn’t cuz short enough so you may even loose your ball in the fairway grass. Better courses up the road. It’s worth paying $10-15 extra for better greens

Used to like coming here when it was 40 bucks for 18. Not a chance this course is worth 60+ dollars. Its not a mystery why the tee sheets are empty, better options in the area.

I have never posted a review in my life but this place deserves one. Do you want to play greens that look like the fairway? Do you want to be insulted by the lazy and rude staff? Do you want to wait 30 min past your tee time to tee off because they’re so backed up? If you answered yes to these questions, you should play Walden country club. The course is in poor shape, the greens are long, the staff is rude, the bunkers are mud (hasn’t rained in 3 days) and course management is trash. Save your shekels and go literally anywhere else for a round of golf. Horrible.

I shoot mid 90's. This course doesn't help with improving my game. The greens are terrible, filled with weeds and dead spots. Tee boxes have a lot of bare spots. People don't fix their divits. It used to be pretty good with low green fees and the greens used to be a lot better. Only upside is they have a bar at the clubhouse. No cart service. However, Bowie is better to work on your game for the same money.

Price point is good but the course needs a lot of attention with the greens and tee boxes. Overall its a challenging 18 holes with narrow openers that open up. So long as you are fairly straight off the tee, it is not too bad.

This is a fun track. Course conditions could be better but for $63 around the DMV for a prime tee time it’s not bad value. Would definitely play again.

Drove 1.5 hours today to play this course with my cousin. By far the worse course conditions I have seen in years. The mowers must not be maintained as every fairway was cut with uneven mower blades and scalped. Many fairways were bare dirt. Funny thing as they didn’t let the carts on the fairway like it was Augusta. There were globs of mower grease on one green. Almost every tee box was nothing but clumps of crab grass. They blow grass directly in the sand traps which also had not been maintained. One hole even had an elementary school class playing in the bunkers between golfers. The course…
