In summary

Eisenhower Golf Course is appreciated for its scenic layout and friendly staff, with some visitors enjoying the challenging design and serene setting. However, many reviews highlight significant concerns about course conditions, including poorly maintained greens and fairways, and ongoing renovation issues. The new clubhouse construction is noted, but some feel the course is overpriced given its current state.

I was pleased to get an early tee-time on a Friday, the course was in decent shape for having had recent renovation work done. The fairways were in decent shape, and the greens were generally free of excessive wear, though didn't roll fast enough for my liking. 4.5 hour round, pretty good for a Friday. Staff were helpful and accommodating. If I were local to the area I would likely play it more than once a season.

This course has gone totally downhill. Several greens are splotchy with fungal damage and the grass is so thin you might as well be putting on dirt. More than half of the fairways are covered in weeds and dirt.

Ok, we've played here numerous times; however, we've been hesitant to play here this summer / fall given the horrible reviews, some as recent as a week ago. Well, we played yesterday and here's an honest and thorough review. Yes, the course is in the process of repairing damage to the course. Most courses had some issues this year, but this course unfortunately was unable to mitigate them in real time. No excuse for that, except for the unfortunate juvenile vandalism via motorbikes. The state of repairs in no way impacted our enjoyment of the round. Most of the greens are in very good shape an…

I played here a few times when the renovations ended but, wow, this course has gone completely downhill since then. Crabgrass, dandelions, too many brown patches with no grass to even count. Don’t take my word for it, see the pictures. Played on Monday, 5/20/24 and will never be back. Just feel so bad for these guys. Pay $20 more and head up to Waverly Woods for an immaculate experience from tee to green.

Condition of the course is great. Beautiful course. Balls sat up perfectly on the fairways, so much so I often used my 4 iron. Greens were great, pin positions were fair. The rough was rough, but playable. Twilight rate was great bargain. The best public course I’ve played in a while.

UPDATE. Amazing the change in 1 year. Good Greens are great! Good course Marshall Bad almost every fairway has large portions that have no grass, dirt or mud. Picture attached. The rough is very rough. No beverage carts. The new course came out great! FINALLY got to play! Beautiful fairways and greens. A couple real tough holes and the price is great! They don’t have a real bar and grill but i think it’s in the plans.

Had a great time out here for a midday Sunday round. The layout is wooded, serene, and challenging, with some tight tee shots on the front nine in particular. The back opens up by comparison. Grassy hummocks in lieu of bunkers add a ton of visual interest, as well as strategy. They are no joke to hack out of! Staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

I agree with the rest of the recent reviews. Trailer office is understandable during renovations, but course conditions need to see improvement. Greens were in very rough shape with lots of dirt and dead patches. It's playable, but you expect a lot more for what they charge.

Made a reservation online with Golf Now who forces you to pay an $8 booking fee. I cancelled 5 days before my scheduled tee time well before the required 24 hours notice required and they kept the booking fee. Why would you use a website like this that doesn't say anywhere about the booking fee being non refundable? No plans to come here again.

I don't know what happened to the course, but its a total dog track now. After the renovation, it was in immaculate shape and extremely fun to play. In the two years since it was fully redone, it's gone completely down hill and isn't worth the $80+ to play. Huge bare patches and clumps of weeds everywhere from tee to green. I worry the renovation was for naught and this course is lost because I can't imagine they will get the funds required to redo it again. I don't know why they are spending the money to build a new clubhouse when the course is borderline unplayable.

I feel like the course continues to get worse. After the redesign, my expectations were the course would be taken care of and would improve. Quite the opposite; seems to only get worse year after year. Fairways aren't too bad, some need help, but the greens....wow. The greens are in really really bad shape. I won't go back unless conditions improve.
