In summary

Walter E. Hall Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained greens, friendly staff, and relaxed atmosphere, making it a popular choice for both novice and intermediate golfers. The course layout is noted for being forgiving with wide fairways, though some players find the presence of strategically placed bunkers and water features adds a welcome challenge. While the facilities are described as charmingly retro, the absence of a driving range and occasional slow pace of play are mentioned as areas for improvement.

Fun casual public course with newer golf carts. No driving range but two practice nets, nice practice green, and an approach wedge area out front. Plenty of parking, though you may have a small walk. The staff was very professional and helpful in a kind manner. The course, boxes and greens were all in great shape for mid summer. Our round was slightly on the long side of 5 hours. Overall I was pleasantly surprised and the scenery was calm and peaceful. Pricing was fair $85-ish with cart

Very much liked the casual feel of this course. Nicely layed out and a little more forgiving for us not so good golfers. Would be nice if it had more water features than just a few wetlands but the treed fairways are nice. It is near the airport so there are quite a few small aircraft buzzing around overhead. The greens were in excellent condition. All in all very much enjoyed the course and will be back.

Actually really nice course. Usually in good shape and has a decent selection at the shop. Some of the bunkers are pretty suspect.. but just dont hit in the bunkers.. right? Haha

Walter Hall is a well kept course that has a very lovely back nine. Overall, its a fairly flat course with some good challenging moments throughout. The facilities themselves are a bit retro but its charming and you'll have a good time golfing. The standout holes for me were the ones over the long tall plants and water features.

Walter Hall Golf Course has a relaxed, local feel that makes it easy to enjoy even if you’re not playing your best. The layout is straightforward but still gives you a few holes that make you think, and the fairways and greens are usually kept in good shape for a public course. Pace of play can slow down during busy times, and nothing about the facilities is flashy, but it’s dependable, friendly, and good value for a casual round. A comfortable, no‑pressure place to get out and play.

My first time at this course and found the layout and conditions great. The greens were fast with the right amount of hold. There are wide fairways that help with that mis-hit and didn’t lose a single ball. Price is fair for a Muni course and staff was efficient and friendly. Carts were out fitted nice with rain hoods and pretty new. There was a beverage cart to help with any liquid needs. Overall great course.

Good golf course. Fairways are mostly wide and forgiving. We ate at the Breezeway Cafe for the first time. It was a pleasant surprise. Sandwiches were very good and came with huge sides - salad, tater tots, or fries. You won't leave hungry.

Nice open course! Fair priced, maintained well, new carts, fairways and greens are in good shape. Great course for novice/intermediate skill levels or just a leisure Sunday round. JUST BEWARE THE GOLF BALL EATING TREE ON THE 2ND GREEN!!

The new greens open for play on September 20! They’ve been recontoured and all the sod replaced according to their website. I must say they really look good as the picture with the shadows in the foreground shows. The other photo is a temporary green surrounded by a lush fairway. Very impressive considering our dry summer. I’m definitely coming back to play this nice course.

One of my favorite courses. Not short, not long. Well designed and more open than many Puget Sound courses. This course has everything you need for a challenging and fun round of golf.

Living with the view of the golf course out my bedroom for 20+ years... I finally decided to give it a shot 🏌️‍♀️ It's been over a year now and Walter Hall is one of our favorite spots. The staff is great, food is good, prices aren't bad and our kids are welcome to hit a few balls on the practice green if they get tired of the local park 💘

Course was in good format for end of season. Greens in good shape and the fall colors are out. Beautiful day for golf, but to bad the golf was not beautiful.......if you get the drift. 3rd time here and will definitely be back.

This was my first time playing Walter Hall Memorial golf course & I must say that it was simply a joy to play. Some narrow fairways, trees, a few strategically placed bunkers & some water kept me honest throughout the round. Walter Hall Memorial favors longer hitters, as there are quite a few long par 5s, long par 4s & some long dog leg holes. At 66 years of age, I should be playing from Senior tees, but golfing my golfing buddies generally play white tees...so this course is a real challenge for my skill level. Not long, but straight is my game & longer hitters who are not real straight can get into trouble quickly! Walter Hall Memorial was in GREAT shape, perfectly manicured, pace was medium, greens were fast. I look forward to golfing Walter Hall Memorial again, soon!!!

Underrated course. Location isn’t great, but the conditions are fantastic for the price. Staff is friendly, greens are in great condition and layout is fun. Can’t find anything to complain about.

Decent Muni, course was nice, but...spacing was tight between groups with this level of handicaps so we were stacked out all afternoon. Nearly a 5 hour round. Ugh

Fun course but they've struggled getting caught up on the grooming. That's something they can only work on. With all the overgrowth, I did lose a lot of balls. Thats really only cause I can't hit straight! Would go again! Staff is very helpful!

Have never had a good experience here once I get on course and dealing with the golfers we cross paths with. Probably why I haven't played here in years
