In summary

Warkworth Golf & Country Club is frequently praised for its friendly and attentive staff, well-maintained fairways, and beautiful scenic layout that challenges golfers with its diverse and interesting holes. Many visitors appreciate the course's value for money and the welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular choice for both casual and tournament play. However, some golfers have noted issues with the greens, citing patchiness and maintenance problems, and a few have experienced logistical challenges during events, such as malfunctioning equipment and course management concerns.

Nice golf course. Greens were okay considering that it has been very hot and dry for the past few weeks. Friendly staff and some nice holes that was well maintained.

Our family has a golf tournament every labour day weekend. This year we all went to Warkworth Golf Course. Every golfer has been complaining about the Marshall bothering them continuously. The debit machine broke just before tee off and they were scrambling what to do. Their carts were not fueled up prior to the tournament and one group ended up having 3 different carts because they kept breaking down. The Marshall kept telling them they should play best ball and that's not how we do things. We will not be going back there ever again. They're loss.

Fairways and tee boxes were very green and well kept. Greens were poor due to some disease and a need to cut them. I’m sure both issues are related and should be good for next season.

Mature golf course with lots of majestic trees. Lots of dog legs. Some really beautiful holes and scenery As I am a lefty, a lot of the holes were dog leg right and really did not fit my eye. Course does require some accuracy and there are several holes with blind shots. Course is generally in very good shape. Some brown patchiness on the greens. One thing that did bug me was that a number of trees on the back nine really need to be trimmed. If one is playing from the black tees as I was, the branches of the trees (#12 and #14 in particular) are protruding into fairway and only about 50 yards…

John Hutchinson and family have been running Warkworth Golf Club for 52 years. It is a challenging course, featuring interesting architecture, impressive scenery and the best greens for many miles around. Most of all members and guests are always treated wonderfully and the 19th hole provides a perfect end to an enjoyable day on the links. Check out the improvements Brad Hutchinson has made over the last 2 years. Impressive!

the fairways were in great condition, the greens however are simply horrible, no other way to say it, there is no amount of lipstick that can pretty this pig up. not sure if they were burnt from fertilizer, bad chemical feed , whatever, the greens were like the surface of the moon, craters everywhere, and I mean everywhere. if you are winter rules kind of golfer, no issues, simply lay that out up front and you wont be disappointed because the fairways were great, the greens however really took away from the experience, it is August , not December. this course in my book is a solid 4-5, this wa…

Early season round, able to get a cart and drive on most fairways. A few areas blocked off where it is still wet but in good condition overall. Sandwiches had a lot of meat on them, and the refreshments cart was out a bunch!

Hadn't played course for 35 years and remembered that I liked it but didn't remember why. The course was in great shape and I like the challenge of it. Greens were fast and rolling (they ate me up!), and the course is nicely laid out. Good value for the money.

On June 6, 2024 I had a golf tournament here. Even though it rained, at times poured, for my first 6 holes it was noticeable what a well maintained course this was. I had a wonderful day out on the course. The steak dinner that we had afterwards was probably the best steak dinner I’ve had after any tournament. The food was absolutely delicious. I can’t believe they even served us at our tables!! The staff from start to finish of the day were delightful. They were so great to chat with. Great job done by everyone!! I had an amazing day and will definitely do this course again this summer!

Really enjoyed this course, it’s a must play. Extremely friendly welcome and considering how early we are in the season, the conditions were like mid-summer. Greens were immaculate and fairways are waking up nicely. Trees are definitely a factor and demands some creativity, not to mention they’re beautiful. Feels like the course was built according to the terrain and complements the natural surroundings. If this place were closer, I’d consider becoming a member, I don’t think it would ever feel boring.
