In summary

Wellington on the Lake Golf Course is appreciated for its picturesque setting, friendly staff, and a layout that offers a mix of challenging and easier holes. Many visitors note that the course has improved under new management, with better-maintained greens and fairways. However, some golfers have experienced issues with course conditions, such as hard tee boxes and damaged greens, and have reported negative interactions with the course marshal. Additionally, the long distances between holes make a golf cart advisable, though some find the extra cost for carts to be a drawback.

I guess if all you pay is 33.00 then you get 33.00 worth. Never lost a ball on the fairway before. No tee blocks, just long grass with the colour markers, I could go on but I think the point is made.

I played this course in October. It is a nine hole course that features three link style holes and six inland holes. There are significant distances to travel between some holes so you will want to use a power cart. The course was in excellent condition. The tee decks are excellent and the greens were large but well protected by traps, land features and doglegs. The first three holes are links style and the prevailing wind is something you need to contend with when it is in your face and something that becomes a significant factor when you turn back inward. The inside six holes are each compel…

Paid $100 for myself and my 12yr old to play best ball. This is not unusual for this area or the reason for 1 star. Tee of blocks in poor condition, ant hills all over the greens. Cart broke down half way through the game. When I get back to the clubhouse the response, "that sucks, sorry about that". This is a course I play frequently in my home town, it's a shame that his place doesn't care about it's people at all. Driving to belleville or picton from now on.

Friendly and picturesque local 9 hole course. First three holes links style and then tighter with trees. Not long but definitely challenging. In good condition too!

This has been my regular course since I started playing golf in 2019. An excellent first impression that year when I got a free mini round (3 holes) because of some confusion regarding the practice range hours. I've been going back frequently ever since. It is a relaxed venue with friendly and helpful staff, and a generally well-maintained course.

Wow. Went here to play 18 holes. Yet we were rushed through them like it was a race because the Marshall said we were holding everyone up and even made a comment about our skills … “did any of you even make it over the pond”… when infact 90% of us did! We felt like we were being stalked when everytime we turned our heads he was there. at one point even hiding through the bushes watching us. If we noticed anyone coming up on us we let them pass, no problem on our end with that. Very disgusted with this guy- ruined a birthday golf!

we were having a good time playing until the marshal came up to us and started saying stuff about our skills and the way we play golf. played here twice and both times were rushed off by the marshals. the old marshal is incredibly rude and ignorant. overall wouldn’t recommend golfing here as the course marshal is not very friendly.

This course has DRASTICALLY improved since new management came in last year. The tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, greens, and everything else are looking so much better. Was golfing with a 9 year member the other day and he said the course has never been better. Kudos to the new owner for spending money to improve the course. There's still work to be done, but this course is well on its way to being top notch in every aspect. To people complaining about dry greens and tee boxes, it hasn't rained in quite some time. You can only use sprinklers so much. And yes, it's a lot of walking if you choose…

Very friendly staff. That's where it stops. Very very long walk between the holes. Walked 16 000 steps during this game. Carts are available but you need to pay even more. Grass was all burnt and greens are in very bad shape. T box was so hard it bent my plastic tee. For the price you pay you would expect better from the course itself.

Booked a tee time, called twice during the day to make sure they are open (heavy rain). They canceled us on arrival, apparently it's a league night. It's surprising they didn't know that earlier. Super organized here 🥴

I have played the course many times and have never been let down. The course was lush and everything was beautiful and well cared for. The last two visits, staff have been warm and friendly and made me feel very welcome.
