Westlake Golf Course

Our two foursomes had an enjoyable time here. The course was well-maintained and the pace of pace was good, especially for a weekend. Our group had a wide range of golfing capabilities and everyone had a fun experience. The price with carts was reasonable. We had lunch afterwards and it was good and a good value too. My only knock - my wife and I rented clubs, which weren't in good condition nor were they even cleaned from prior use. Regardless, we'd go back on our next trip to California.

Westlake Golf Course is a gem! The fairways are beautifully maintained, and the greens are smooth and fast—perfect for golfers of all skill levels. The staff is friendly and helpful, making every visit enjoyable. I love the peaceful, scenic views around the course; it’s a great spot to relax and focus on your game. Definitely one of my favorite local courses, and I always look forward to coming back!

Westlake Golf Course is a challenging course but not a lot of elevations changes. Easy to walk or ride the terrain. The course is well maintained. I would like to see more yardage markers other then 200, 150 and 100 yardstick maybe on the cart path. The fairways are a little hard packed because of the rain.They have a large practice range and sand traps which you normally do not see at a public level golf course. Conditions are just a little rough right now, but that is to be expected this time of year. Greens are about 2 weeks from being in great shape. The punch is still impacting putting. Food and drink services are very good with excellent staff. Driving range has very good targets and the range balls are always in great condition. 3 hr 18 hole round seeing off at7:15 am.

Good experience and priced well for what it offers. Tight, flat, par 66 course (I believe). Relatively easy with players of all levels. Laid back atmosphere. Geese roam around which means their poop is scattered so I had to clean my push cart wheels after the round.

The landscape was in poor conditions... this place felt very casual for what id expect for Westlake Village, which is fine just surprising. Would definitely return for its casual feel and . . . Well, it's close. Nothing remarkable about the course

Fun track to dust the cobwebs off on. Well kept, lots of forgiveness , plenty of free drops and a three nice water holes. The only issue I have is how easily a ball vanishes outside the fairway. Literally you can hit two inches between fairways and you will never find your ball. Probably disgruntled ground squirrels. Chong is awesome btw.

Called to book a late same day tee time for 2. Pro shop said to just get there and they’d get us on. Show up only to be told we can be placed on a wait list and that there were a few parties in front of us. Maybe let people know next time.

I usually love playing here, but unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience today that I feel compelled to share. I was on the tee box for hole 4 with my group, waiting for the group ahead of us to clear the fairway (they were only about 150 yards out). The marshal came up to us and, without acknowledging me at all, directed his attention solely to the men in my group. In a very condescending tone, he told them, "Have the lady hit now." I couldn't believe it. He made a rude assumption based solely on my gender and size, implying that I couldn't hit the ball as far as the men in my…

Nice public course that is maintained very well. Took us almost exactly 4 hours to play.

Clueless Marshall was demanding we speed up when there are people in front of us then stalks us for half the rest of our round glaring from a distance. Felt odd that he decided to say this to the women in our group rather than the men despite passing the men multiple times. There's nowhere to go dude - what outcome are you expecting? He was the worst part of our round. Felt extremely pressured and unwelcome. We were very much playing a normal pace. The course itself is in a mixed state. I just started playing golf again and I am really enjoying this course lay out. It’s a well-rounded course with a varied use of sand bunkers around the greens, some fairway bunkers, and water hazards. I would describe the elevation as medium. For elevation reference, Westlake is in the middle of Simi Hills which has much more elevation changes and Van Nuys/Woodley the flattest. The clubhouse staff are top notch. The cafe is something to look forward to right after your round. This is a very well kept fairway and greens compared to other municipal golf courses.
