What People Say

In summary

Westpark Golf Club is appreciated for its unique layout and affordable rates, offering a variety of challenging and straightforward holes that appeal to both beginners and experienced golfers. However, many visitors express concerns about the course's maintenance, noting issues with the condition of the greens, fairways, and tee boxes, as well as the dated facilities. Additionally, some reviews highlight dissatisfaction with customer service and management's handling of property damage caused by errant golf balls.

The bottom line is this place is a fun time for what you pay. The course is laid out in a unique way and the holes are interesting and varied. Some are hard with dog legs and some easy and straight. I paid $45 riding at 8 am on a Sunday and you can't beat that rate in the area. Good mix of everything. The downside is that the grass is not great. This is someone mowed their lawn short, not nice golf grass fairways or tee boxes. Fairways are hard. Takes a toll on your wrists. The greens have the grass you'd expect but people do not fix their divots. I had a fun and relaxing time and look forward…

No Maintenance. The course has been up for sale for about a year now. Current ownership has STOPPED doing any more than mowing the grass. Most Tee boxes have large bold patches and the greens are a wash of ball marks and bold spots. Many of the fairways look like an over play soccer pitch. While greens fee of $30 look tempting, in this case your really not getting your money worth...

Course was in pretty good shape today. Wet in places because of recent rains. Most fairways in average condition with the grass just cut. Thick but not high rough. Most greens a bit below average. Course difficulty is average and a good challenge for beginners.

I took advantage of their weekday twilight special. All you can golf after 3pm with a cart for just $20. Realistically you finish 18 just before sunset anyway, but I'm not all that great a golfer. The greens and fairways seemed as though they were in good shape to me. The course winds through some residential neighborhoods and it's not always obvious where the next hole is, but the paths are marked well enough where I didn't get lost. Obviously not as nice as a private club, but it gets the job done nicely for an occasional golfer.

Played in December so to be fair, this rating is based on an off season round. Few staff. No starter. No blue or red tees. No water coolers. No bunker rakes. Neighborhood drainage through the course so many parts were soggy and muddy. Random singles joined our twosome which was fine. Pace was slow. The fairway reminded me of my lawn. Pretty flat. Lost one ball.

This course is ok. I've been playing it for close to 30 years now. Used to play it all the time but had not been in 4 or 5 years. I always liked the layout but the course condition does not meet the price $$ to play. This should be at max a $30 with cart round but they are asking close to $50. Bring the price down and the stars go up.

West Park was the biggest waste of money on a game of golf. The greens are not well kept and I could find better conditions in most back yards. The staff are very unpleasant and are rude to the customers. I will gladly spend the extra ten bucks to be treated with respect up the street at Raspberry Falls or Brambelton. West Park is garbage and I won't miss it when it's gone.

The course is in terrible condition. Tee box, fairways, greens....everything is in horrible condition. The worst course I have ever played...and I have played really bad courses. There are no fairways, only rough. Greens are dead and putting is playing Plinko. I will never play this course again even if its free.

Before I arrived, I was worried, when you pull up the clubhouse doesnt really inspire a "wow" but after getting into the proshop and seeing the course i wanted to write this review: I'm not sure why this course gets the bad ratings from the other reviewers. I've been twice now and both times the clubhouse was helpful and in no way rude. The grounds guys will joke with you when you strike up converstation and all in all its a pretty laid back enviroment. The course itself is worth the rate as it is well kept and challenging. The rough is slightly harder to hit out of but just get better at golf…

Excellent place for a round of gold on Loudoun County for a very reasonable price. Par 71, 3 par 5's and 5 par 3's; the 18th green is an island....par 3......this xourse offers a very good challenge to even experienced golfers. The course is in decent condition, but the grass on The fairways is a bit too long (not much roll for golf balls) and the greens cluld be in better condition (golfer have some responsibility here, such as repairing ball marks, which, many apparently, do not.) The facilities appear to be a bit run down, the staff are great; as a public golf course, they make do with th…

Tee boxes are mud. Hitting out of the rough is easier than the fairway. Bunkers are completely flat. Had to put out of a bunker because there was no chance i would hit it clean with a wedge. Clubhouse looks like a Days Inn.

"Upper Management" is a joke. I know they have insurance for errant golf ball damage, but they simply just don't care and think that any kind of damage is amusing. The one manager even bragged about people's windows being broken. I'll be glad when someone levels this place. At least then it won't be a burden on our community anymore.
