In summary

White Eagle Conference Center is frequently praised for its well-maintained and challenging golf course, with fast greens and a beautiful setting. The staff is often described as friendly and helpful, and the amenities, including a full bar and delicious food options, add to the overall positive experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with ongoing construction and maintenance, which can affect play, and a few have mentioned that the pricing might be on the higher side.

Very well maintained course and challenging. $110 for this course is a bit pricey though. However, it was overall a great experience.

We found this course when planning a drive from Albany to Rochester. We wanted a place to stop and play along the way. Seven Oaks was quite a hidden gem. It has a great layout and the greens were fantastic - running quick and in great shape. It was really windy on the day we played, which can make at least a couple of the par 4's really tough. As an alum of a competitive Patriot League school, I'll forgive the fact that it is the Colgate University course, and just hope to find a reason to play again.

I purchased gift certificates for my dad for a round for two and while I can see why this course is a very highly rated collegiate course, it was not the case on this occasion. When my dad booked tee times, he was advised there might be some holes under construction still... no big deal we thought. I get that courses undergo construction and upgrades; however I don't feel the complete level of 'under construction' was accurately described to us. I'll start by saying that the fairways were in great shape. Unfortunately there were many other issues. Most of the greens had pock marks/bare spots a…

Great golf course - I wish I lived closer. Well kept with excellent greens, this course is a joy both to play and to view. I found management to be knowledgeable and friendly. I can't wait until I find an excuse to get up to Hamilton again!

Been playing the course for many years now. I purposely haven’t played in a couple years just so I could play once all the upgrades have been completed. Everything from the new carts, cart paths, putting green, clubhouse and several fairway bunkers and green resurfacing. It’s all perfect. What a gem of a course

Lots of updates and changes to the course going on. I suspect it will be 5 star when complete. The club house is new and excellent, the staff are good people and very helpful. It's definitely worth playing a round.

It was envisioned to be the Augusta of the North, and it truly is a spectacular golf course. Note: this is not Seven Oaks Restaurant, this is just the golf course. Would give it five stars for the course, but only 4 because it could use some deals for locals, and not just Colgate staff.

Played this gem the week of aeration for the first time. Was better than most courses in September. Played it ONE week later, and it was better than most courses in July! I am a 9 hndcp and have played some top level courses by top level architects in the country. 7 Oaks can keep right up. These greens are fast and true. And difficult to read. Typical Jones!

Played there for the first time yesterday and will be back often. The conditions of the golf course make you think of a US Open. The rough is thick and tough to hit out of. The greens are smooth, firm and very fast Keep the ball below the hole. The tee boxes, bunkers and fairways are in excellent shape. Don't look at the yardage to determine what tees to play. Go by your handicap and you will enjoy the course more. My one small complaint with the course is with the design that is typical of old Jones courses. That is parallel fairways. Nice little pro shop. I'd rate it a 9 out of 10.
