In summary

Wind Rose Golf Club is frequently praised for its attractive course layout, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff. The club offers a range of amenities including a large driving range, putting greens, and a well-stocked pro shop. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the slow pace of play and occasional issues with course drainage and scheduling, particularly during busy times or after rain. The club is undergoing significant restoration work, which may impact play but promises future improvements.

Lots of restoration work being done. Rebuilding bunkers, ponds, etc. A couple par 4's are shortened due to construction. Tee boxes repurposed. Lots of pitch marks on the greens due to extreme traffic and neglect from not repairing ball marks. Great layout and challenging from the tips. Paid $63 on a Friday afternoon. Driving Range had both mats and grass areas to hit from. Big putting green and a chipping area. Pro shop stocked with appropriate apparel, balls, etc. Food and grill was good with TV'S to watch golf and sports. Conference room was in use due to a charity scramble. Busy place, g…

Another new course we played yesterday. We had to contend with a bit of wind left over from the storms the night prior. Speaking of storms, we were cart path only here today, but the course was relatively dry. The have a great drainage system apparently. Overall the course was in good shape. Several of the fairways grass was a bit unusual as they had a lot of poa annua. The greens were in very good condition as were the cart paths. I liked the course layout. Water hazards on just a few holes. The bunkers were soaked. The sand was very wet and hard. Difficult to hit out of. Overall a good ex…

1. Don't play this course on a week where it has rained. Drainage is an issue here. 2. Horrible starters/marshalls. Rushed our group to tee off ahead of our scheduled time and then we spent the entire day waiting 15-20 minutes on each tee box for groups ahead to clear. It was 90° rule in effect but that's no excuse for how bad it really was. Marshalls did nothing to control pace of play. Honestly it's a decent course (when dry) & challenging layout but way overpriced for how they run it. Not worth the $100 at all. Busted up munis provide a better experience at a cheaper price. Or go to glenn…

This place is busy as always! Huge putting green and nice driving range plus a decent sized chipping green which can easily accommodate 45 yards pitch shots. Good club for honing one’s games.

Two things I wish were better: range balls are quite pricey, and the tee times are way too close together. 9 minutes between tee times means waiting on every hole. I had a 5.5 hour round last time I played and I skipped a hole to play around a slow group.

Great driving range, 2 putting greens for practice, and the course is overall really enjoyable! Staff at the office is always friendly, only tricky part is the parking- but isn’t a busy lot usually a sign of a great course? 😝

My husband and I played once here. Nothing spectacular about the place, but it was good enough, as we had just moved to the area from Dallas. My 10 year old son plays golf, so we decided to bring him back on a Saturday morning to use their range for his practice swings. They required a collared shirt for entry and use of their range. Seriously? You’re not a country club, nor are you anything fancy and exclusive. Get over yourself! Will not be returning.

Great course and pretty layout through subdivisions on the north side of Houston. The rough can be kinda messy as they are a mix of grasses and weeds. Easily an ‘I’ll play there again’ course.
