In summary

Windy Harbor Golf Club is praised for its well-maintained course, friendly staff, and affordable pricing, with many appreciating its layout and suitability for various skill levels. The club's location on a naval base offers a unique setting, though access requires a military ID, which some find inconvenient. While the course conditions are generally favorable, there are occasional complaints about the greens' quality and the restaurant service.

This course is awesome for so many reasons! After having a terrible experience at the course on NAS Jax, we weee so pleasantly surprised by our experience here on Mayport. The staff is SO friendly and supportive of junior golfers. Our kids play competitively and know how to conduct themselves, and we were thankful that the environment was so professional and welcoming to them. It was crowded but all golfers had patience and it was an amazing time for our whole family. The restaurant is also really good, so you can spend a good amount of time at the course and grabbing a bite to eat. Special th…

Windy Harbor was a super nice course for about $40 on a weekend. Fun to play, great layout, not a lot of water, perfect course for someone who is just looking to go out and have a fun, relaxed game, and keep your balls. We had an 8:00am tee time and a couple holes in we stood still for the national anthem 🇺🇸, which was didderent for a golf outing. The course is super open and near the coast so take the name “Windy” harbor in a literal context. Lol. We were probably playing in up-to 20mph wind this day. Overall fun course and will be playing it again. Now Peep this almost hole in one on hol…

Windy Harbor is a fine golf course located on the Naval base in Mayport. But be advised in order to play the golf course you must have a MWR card.

I booked a tee time over two months ago and unfortunately had to cancel because I didn’t have a military ID to pass the gates to get to the course. I think they can do a better job at communicating that it’s on a military base and ID is required.

I took my son to use the driving range and it was decent, the putting green was also decent. The only people golfing were retirees.

A huge shoutout to Kim and the Windy Harbor Golf Course team for helping us arrange a quick, but very special gender reveal. Can’t say enough great things!! Beautiful place to golf.

Nice course and great staff. Lots of water. Bunkers and greens were in great shape. Lots of black mud on the fringes.

Windy Harbor is a hidden gem! If you are looking for a fun layout, great for kids, and perfect for a quick nine after work in the summer, this is the place to come. Greens are in great shape since the renovation. Never wait for a tee time and it never gets too busy. Highly recommend!

I love windy harbor. Great lay out, open and pretty easy going course. The back nine has some real tough holes especially when the wind is kicking from the ocean. The greens look and roll fantastic…and are pretty firm. The staff is friendly and great. You cannot beat the price here compared to the rest of Jax courses. Great, inexpensive merch in the pro shop. Only complaint - the pin locations are made too difficult at times, on the edges of greens tucked behind bunkers on down slopes…

Awesome course! Grounds are super well kept, fairways are open, and plenty challenging holes, a must go if in the area!

Stopped in for breakfast this morning before my day started. Disappointed to say the least. I assumed almost an hour would be long enough for breakfast. Waited 15 minutes, and no one even asked us what we wanted to drink. We left after waiting and not being helped. Why 1 person was working the entire floor and bar on a Saturday morning is beyond me & poor scheduling.
