Windy Hill is definitely the best kept secret!!! Situated in beautiful Conneaut , Ohio, Windy Hill Golf Course and campgrounds is the perfect place for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed our stay there. You can definitely tell that the owners take pride in this establishment, with a lot of attention to detail. The campgrounds are very clean. Campers are personable and will offer great advice for the novice fisherman. I definitely give it a 5 star rating!

Pros: Course was in good shape Cons: Management was rude, turned the sprinklers on while we were still playing - soaked the greens and had to move balls and putt around sprinklers, weren't allowed to play as a group of 5 even though there were only 2 other golfers on the course, club house was run down I would pass unless you're 5 minutes down the road. Plenty of other courses in the area that will provide a better experience and better course.

Paid to play 9 holes, were warned that storms might be coming. Decided to try and play, but it started to rain on end of 1st hole. Played 2nd hole because it was parallel to 1st hole and ran back to clubhouse. Proceeded to ask for a rain check to come back and play; the owner states, "You f***ing guys." Awkward silence; and again the owner says " You f***ing guys. He (the employee running the pro shop at the time we checked in) warned you." Flustered at this point, the owner then instructs the employee to not give us rain check certificates, but instead reimburse us for 7 holes of golf. No pr…

The greens were horrible on the front 9. Bare spots of just dirt on the greens. No food to buy. Very disappointed in the way the staff talked to us when we asked what happened to the greens. Talked down to us. When we tried to let a smaller group play through the owner told us no.

Played a couple weeks ago and EVERY green was completly burnt! It looked orange like the suface of mars! The manager says he had an irrigation issue but to me it looked like it was burned by chemical fertilizers. He said he'd have it green by the next week. The only way I see that happening is if he paints it green! The weeds are so high in front of every tee box that our group lost at least a dozen balls per person! Since we started playing in a light sprinkle he said he would not issue a raincheck. I won't ever go back! That place is the worst course in the area! Go to Village Green in Kings…

Stumbled upon this hidden gem of a course and campground while on a trip with my family. We stayed at the campground, which was roomy and peaceful. The course was beautiful and greens played wonderfully. I will recommend and hopefully stay again!

Golf course had golf carts for sale.the owner is very rude, and treated the young lady that was very nice and helped me out on the different carts like he owned her and was really ignorant to her.he did not give me a chance to look at and pick out the cart i wanted and was in a big rush, real p.o.s. and how he treated the young girl really ticked me off , A real lowlife that has the personality of a turd💩 a total jagoff
