In summary

Woodland Hills Golf & Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, challenging yet accessible layout, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice among golfers in the Jackson area. The course is described as a hidden gem with a variety of holes and a scenic setting, particularly appealing in warmer months. However, some visitors have noted issues with the fairways and the clubhouse's dated appearance, as well as occasional confusion with the course layout.

This is the best course to play in the Jackson area, for the value, greens and fairways conditions, course setup; and then the staff and members are very friendly and helpful. Some people (who probably can’t even break 100) have been trashing this course on social media lately and they can simply just go and play crappy golf somewhere else. There is never a day where I go play at woodland and regret it.

The course has made several positive upgrades since I last played it a long time ago. It seems like a nice course for players of all skill levels with very few forced carries over 150 yards. They take pride in the greens and even though I played in the winter they rolled true and fast. I do plan to play there again.

This course was supposed to be "the best in Madison County." The pro shop leaves a lot to the imagination. The prices were high for this level of course. It hasn't rained much recently but the fairways were muddy. The greens were fast. The layout was confusing and criss crosses a lot with greens within 75 yds of each other. There's also one hole where you tee off close to over the last hole's green. I haven't played any other courses in Madison County for 20+ years. If this is the best, I dont plan on playing anymore in Madison County. Overall the condition of the course is 4/10. There are sev…

Greens are nice and the course is challenging. A lot of uphill shots into the greens makes the course play longer. The fairways leave a lot to be desired. Very little grass on the fairways and the rough. I am not an expert, but they really need to aerate and fertilize. Very disappointed in the conditions other than the greens.

My 15 year old son and I played this course in December 2015. The primary challenge is that there are several greens down in valleys that cannot be seen from the fairway because of hills rising and falling. So you are hitting blind and cannot target on the pin. The greens are small but in good shape. This course would be beautiful in the spring, summer and fall because of the hardwoods surrounding the course. In the winter the trees are barren, still, the view is pleasant even in the winter. Very few homes are build along the course, perhaps 5 or so. The driving range is small - irons only but…

Quite possibly the best maintained course in a 50 mile radius (much better than other courses in Jackson) Great staff (and members). Course can be challenging at points but nothing to think twice about, must check it out if you are in the area.

Nice open golf course. Easy enough to play but still has some bite to it. Also, it was very playable considering the rainy conditions and being the first week or so of March.
