In summary

Acushnet River Valley Golf Club is highly praised for its excellent course conditions, well-maintained greens, and engaging layout that offers a mix of classic New England and links-style holes. The staff is generally considered friendly, and the course provides good value for its pricing. However, some visitors express frustration with the slow pace of play and occasional issues with customer service and tee time management.

This is one of the top 3 public golf courses in Massachusetts. Played here on a Saturday morning, late September, private club alike conditions. Tee box conditions in every single one was perfect, mostly level and smooth surface. Fairways were all well well well maintained. The greens were very challenging, different speeds, didn’t break much. A few bunkers were under construction so some blocked areas. I would expect them to be an even nicer course once all work is done. Hopefully they can rebuild the clubhouse and pro shop next. Overall just a fantastic track. I will absolutely come back. To…

Would give 0 stars if i was allowed to. Possibly the worst staff and customer service you could find for a golf course, which is a shame for such a fun course. Could look past the general disgust given for any common courtesy by the staff in the past due to how nice it is but now that they've cancelled our confirmed outing 8 days prior with not even as little as an apology i'll be avoiding them like the plague. 10/10 course, 0/10 everything else.

Course was in great shape. Absolutely no complaints that I can come up with. Maybe they need to make sure someone is always manning the grill but they had steamed hot dogs in the proshop so what ever. The price for everything but the practice balls is good. 8 bucks for maybe 25 balls. Lower that shit or give more balls. 70 bucks for 18 holes with cart and PGA conditions you can't beat it. At all

Acushnet River Valley is one of the best values anywhere. $39 everyday after 1 p.m. for 18 holes and cart. That's almost unheard of. At that price point you wouldn't expect much, but the course is in really good shape. The greens are awesome and the layout makes it a fun round. Some real memorable holes and shots here. The only issue - after 1 p.m. it's a total free-for-all on the first tee. If you come at the wrong time, it could be a 5-6 hour round. ** I originally gave 4 stars but had to edit my review to 2 stars. We had a tee time for 3:50 pm, we get to the tee 10 minutes early and there…

Lovely course, friendly and accommodating staff. Other than the golf course, the other elements of the facility (shop, driving range, bathrooms) leave a little to be desired.

I've wanted to play Acushnet River Valley for many years and finally got a chance to play last week. The wait was very well worth it. Great layout, awesome design of the various holes but the course condition put it over the top for me. Everything was in fantastic shape, but want I loved was the firm fairways, so easy to compress the ball off the turf. They have a nice driving range and practice green as well.

Played last Wednesday, my tee time was 5 minutes behind the group in front of us and 4 minutes ahead of the group behind us. The course is in excellent shape but they tend to overbook.

Of all the public courses I play in this area, Acushnet's course conditions are unparalleled. It's never been in less than spectacular shape. The greens roll true and are usually fairly fast. Fairways, tees, and traps are very well maintained, and rough is mostly pretty thick and healthy. The reason I knock off a star is the same old story as most others, the pace of play is brutal. I'll only play here if I can get out within the first hour of tee times. Otherwise get ready for a 5+ hour round. I understand trying to pack as many golfers into a day as possible, but if they just increased the s…

Loved it. Great shape, greens rolled smoothly , tee boxes were excellent. Not a terribly difficult course. Would definitely go back. Bar/snack stand at the turn was not opened yet, so hopefully next time that glizzy at the turn will make this course even better.

The course is in excellent condition throughout. The greens roll true and have good consistent speed. The layout and variety of holes keeps things interesting. The pace of play was on the slower side, even with limited play due to rainy conditions. 8/18/23 - played the course again as part of the scramble fundraiser. The course is in amazing condition. A downpour moved through, which suspended play for about an hour. The course has great drainage, which made the course very playable for the final 10 holes.

I love this course, the front/back play different, and the course is always in good shape. My only gripe is the poor customer service. Double booking, get ready to wait and tee off late. Between the old mustache starter man who is quick to yell at customers for no reason at all. The pro shop or director of golf don’t return phone calls. Like I said, I love this place but when I recommend it to another person, I make sure to mention its downfalls.
