In summary

Alpine Golf Club receives praise for its beautiful course layout, new management, and improvements such as a high-end clubhouse and new golf carts. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, staff interactions, and the pace of play, which can detract from the overall experience. While the course has potential, there are areas that could benefit from further attention and enhancement.

We were really looking forward to playing 18 holes at this golf course, but our experience was a letdown, even with calling to confirm tee time. After driving a long way, we were told we might not be able to play, and then we were only allowed to play 9 holes. The staff seemed unhelpful, and the course was just okay. We wouldn't recommend it.

Beautiful course under new management and ownership! Love the high-end clubhouse and bar, very well laid out course and greens were perfect. Seems most of the negative reviews are from the prior ownership, and the care the new ones have put in shows clearly. Love my time golfing here and can't wait to go back!

Let me start by saying I really like the family and those that work here. They are very very friendly, which is why I’ve been in a golf league here for 4 years straight. The clubhouse is nice with a good beer menu. Food is limited but no one is there for food so you will manage. 5/5 for hospitality. I like the couples scrambles that they host. The new carts are nice with usb outlets to charge your devices while playing. No GPS but use 18 birdies and you’re all set. PLUG: follow me if you use the app. Nice putting green but that’s the only practice area on the course. No range. Now for the cour…

Played in league and will never be back. I’ve never seen a course go downhill faster than this one. Sat on every hole every week. Bartenders are rude. Free popcorn all year then in the last week wanted to charge 1.50 for a bag to eat it on the course. We were promised a burger bar that ended up being raw burgers. This was our favorite course and now it’s a money hungry course that has terrible service!

Worst experience golfing I have ever had. First off the staff are Rude, it all started with the heavy brunette bar tender when I asked basic questions about where things are while she rudely gestured. Now on to the course before we even got off the carts on hole ONE we were confronted by the course ranger saying that we couldn’t golf together that us young guys hold up other golfers…. We are all in our mid 30’s! What a clown. Now talk about a mess of a course first hole had a crater behind the green that my cart almost got stuck. There’s also a giant landfill of yard waste on hole 6-7 you can’…

Well I'm totally impressed with what they have done for the coarse. New golf carts as well. But recent visit was a bit frustrating. The cart they gave me had no brakes. So they kindly gave me another one that was even worse. I thought I was going crazy. Then the third one after a few holes seemed as thought it was getting worse. Maybe they need new brake pads or something. All in all kinda threw my game off, because of having to park side way to keep from rolling down a hill. Other than the carts the coarse is beautiful an getting better by the day

Save your money and go somewhere else. It isn't even worth driving by and looking at the sign!!! I went here yesterday with a group of my buddies and once we got to hole 3 we vowed to never return here. The lady behind the desk was extremely rude and didn't seem to care about any of the problems. The greens looked like they are airated every week. The tee off boxes are barely cut and have craters in them that look like a warzone. The cart paths might as well just be dirt paths at this point because there is no upkeep on them in what seems like 5 years. This mole hills and the Soviet area artwo…

Challenging course with a relatively nice layout. Not very long by any stretch but has lots of hills and undulations. A nice mix of bunkers and sand traps. I get that this part of the year going into August is difficult for a grounds crew to maintain course conditions, but for the most part, the course seemed to lack attention to basic detail. Tee boxes were sandboxes for the most part. Fairways had lots of hardpan and divots. Sand traps were water logged. Made it easier for some pick shots but good luck letting one roll. Seems they might have some inexperienced people on the grounds crew. Pi…

A buddy and i played this course yesterday from the blue tees around noon. Absolutely loved the course overall. Tee boxes clean. Fairways and rough trimmed excellent. Greens rolled pretty quick but it was the same on every green. If youre a VETERAN I highly recommend you to go play this course for the price. Worth every penny at $32 with cart Monday-Thursday. Definitely will be playing here again!!

Alpine Golf Club is becoming one of the best golf courses in West MI. Nic and Deven, the new owners are really making a lot of improvements on the course and off. We recently attended the grand opening of the new restaurant on-site and the food and drink selection was amazing. Great job and we plan on coming back very soon!

I enjoy golf as much as the next guy but if you are just trying to golf and have a nice experience, do not go here. I went today to play 9 holes and off the start the person working the front desk was not helpful whatsoever. Didn't even know what how many golfers or if I was playing 9 or 18 even though when I called I mentioned that information. I had to step inside more than once to get more information about the course and he kept speaking in this annoyed tone like I wasn't allowed to be there, Golf course in itself is fine but those cart paths might as well be a typical Michigan road with…
