In summary

Alpine Valley Resort is praised for its friendly and attentive staff, diverse amenities, and well-maintained facilities, making it a popular destination for skiing, snowboarding, and events like weddings. The resort offers a variety of runs suitable for different skill levels, and its event planning services receive high marks for their thoroughness and flexibility. However, some visitors have criticized the golf course conditions and the safety features of the ski lifts, suggesting room for improvement in these areas.

This is for the golf courses only! While short courses they play different with a bunch of greens up on hillsides and small greens. This is hilly and has some beautiful holes like 4, 5 and 9 on Summit and 12, 14, 17 on Meadows and 3, 4, and 5 on Sugar Creek. The hospitality was great and the greens crew was working hard. Good conditions on greens tee boxes, with drought conditions on fairways. Very fun to play.

Short review: It was the best day & say yes to the event planning package. Just do it. 6 stars. Long review: Staff - bartenders, servers, coordinator (Allison) were kind, attentive & on top of it. Food & drinks - LOTS of food options, (we did carrots/beans/mushroom risotto/chicken marsala/beef brisket/cornbread - lots of feedback of 'didn't know wedding food could be this good') they also made a beautiful charcuterie table for our cocktail hour & had loaves of bread all over the tables. It was a whole vibe. Drinks were also delicious. Venue - The pavilion is a perfect no-matter-the-weather…

I had a fantastic lesson with Paul Guman. He was patient, knowledgeable, and explained techniques in a way that was easy to understand and immediately helpful. I felt more confident and in control by the end of the session. We were even able to try parallel skills and a blue trail! Highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve and have a great time skiing 😊

Alpine is a great local midwestern spot to ski or snowboard. I’ve taken 2 ski lessons with Paul G and he is a fantastic ski instructor! He is very kind, knowledgeable and meets you where you’re at in terms of skill level. Before even putting your skis on, he takes the time to explain and teach you fundamentals so that once you do get them on, you’re more comfortable. He was super encouraging and ensures you’re comfortable before moving to the next level. I’d highly recommend taking a lesson whether you’re a new skier or looking to enhance your current skills!

Allison and the events team at Alpine helped us to throw the wedding reception of our dreams -- fully equipped with karaoke and an ice cream sundae bar!!! Seriously, we would not have been able to pull off hosting 250 people in such a beautiful venue on our budget without the generous support of Alpine Valley. Allison was an excellent communicator and helped me not only to coordinate such an incredible event, but also manage the stress that accompanies doing so. One of many examples of Alpine's stellar service was when I accidentally told them that guests would be arriving an hour later than w…

We just had our first ski lesson at Ski School with Mr. Bill and Valerie. Both of my boys were in the Kinder Group. It was a scattered morning trying to get out for the first time not really knowing anything and just diving in but Valerie helped me get my boys into boots and helmets and gloves and Bill explained how everything was going to work. I felt safe and comfortable with my boys on the hill. They had a blast and we are signed up for another lesson! The ProShop helped us grab some last minute gear. They were helpful and knowledgeable and very kind to a Mom who knows little about skiing.…

Dear Midwest people, I know it seems like a hustle, but save $500 more and fly yourself to an actual good Colorado/Utah ski resort. You’ll never come back to this one. Totally hazardous conditions, metal pipes sticking out on your way down the slope, the conveyer lift has no railings or safety features whatsoever, anyone can ski into you while you’re on it, not to mention that it gets stuck every now and then, people fall on it all the time, including kids. There is person who has to manually stop it (if they even notice that something is wrong, which doesn’t ALWAYS happen) and turn it back o…

My buddies and I travel from Chicago to ski here. They have some decent runs and I love that the night skiing is technically from 2pm-10pm for tickets. Food is about what you’d expect for these resorts but upstairs you can grab a good beer and slightly better food than the cafeteria. They also have equipment rentals and lockers. It’s a pretty busy place for all skill ranges.

Took the Let’s Get Social ski lesson as a beginner. Kurt was a great instructor—super patient and helpful, especially with getting up and down the slopes. Would definitely recommend him for first-time skiers.

Good Midwest skiing, only a couple hours from the Chicagoland area. All workers were competent & friendly. Ski slopes, chair lifts and rental equipment were all in good shape. Refreshments in the lodge were diverse and not too pricey. We even saw SANTA! 🎅

Had a great time. Snow was falling and the staff made the time on the slope fly by. Lifts were all running smooth and fast. Easy parking, getting the lift ticket, and cafe.

The worst golf course and golf experience I’ve ever had. Horrible tee boxes, horrible cart paths, and horrible bunkers. Treated horribly by staff member, no accommodation for first time players of this course, force you to buy an overpriced shirt to play the course. Collared shirts required but playing music through a speaker is fine? This whole “resort” is trying to be something it’s not. Has high standards without even the standards. It’s an old beat up resort and it’s better days are behind it. in the middle of nowhere.
