In summary

Arboretum Golf Club is frequently praised for its beautiful and well-maintained course, challenging layout with water hazards, and friendly staff. Many visitors enjoy the amenities, including a highly rated restaurant and bar. However, some golfers express frustration with the pace of play and inconsistent enforcement of course rules, which can detract from the overall experience.

This was a beautiful and very well-kept course. The grounds looked great, and up until the issue we had, everything seemed fine. My brother and I booked a 5:50 PM tee time for 18 holes, and I rented clubs for him since he was playing golf for the first time. Before starting, we were told carts had to be returned by 8 PM, which was understandable. The course itself advertises an expected pace of about 4.5 hours for 18 holes, so we assumed that once the carts were returned, we would simply walk the remainder of the course if needed. However, once we reached the halfway point, a staff member in…

This course seems inspired by God himself. Beautifully manicured and seemingly designed by an artist, this is by far one of the toughest courses I've played. Although I was having a tough time with my shot, I felt so blessed to be in that moment. My advise, there is a booklet that they give which is complimentary. It takes you hole by hole and teaches you the intricacies of the course. READ IT. I truly believe I could have shaved at least 10 shots off my round. What an amazing experience. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Such an enjoyable course to play in great condition. The golf carts are smooth and quiet, service is always nice. Otaru is a perfect place to grab a bite after a round or to stop by for a drink and/or dinner. Can't wait to try the $39 ayce sushi! Everyone around us was having that, definitely next visit. Firepits outside are v welcoming w a good view of the greens. A hidden gem!

Course is in great condition and indeed has a variety of trees throughout. Hospitality services don't start til late AM, so early AM tee times will want to bring their own food/drink

Disappointed once again… the course is in a reasonably good shape but as always pace of play is horrendous. 1 hour to complete the first 3 holes is just ridiculous. The ranger is useless, fishing up balls in the ponds and napping around instead of getting slow groups to keep up with pace. Never again.

Fun and challenging track with lots of water but I went after rain the day before and the fairways we very squishy. You'd think that a course with that much water would have better drainage.

We had a very poor experience today at this course. We had a 8:33 tee time, and on the cart it said “pace of play 4 hours 22 minutes” for 18 holes. We finished 9 in 2 hours despite letting the group behind us play through after the first hole, and the ranger still drove up to us and asked us to speed up because the group behind us was complaining (their main clientele seems to be older Asian ladies, who are known for playing FAST). We ended up finishing 18 in 3 hours and 27 minutes and we were being pressed still on the back by the group behind us. If you like to play hit ball and chase, the…

This is a well maintained, interesting course. Played on 6/2, water challenges, tougher driving holes but you can club down. Greens, fairways and rough all in good shape, electric carts are a bonus. Compares well to B to B+ courses in the Chicago area.

Amazingly quick 6am Sunday round, under 4 hours. The main issue is this is an intermediate skill golf course and higher handicaps will slow things down. They are really making an effort to prevent slow play. The fairways and greens are in great shape. All of the staff was super friendly especially Jamie at the pro shop.

I went to this well maintained course this past Sat. and was treated with such tremendous respect. An employee, Jamie, went above and beyond by providing exceptional service. He was courteous and made the visit memorable.

Usually don't write reviews but had to here. Played here once recently and won't be back. Slowest round I think I've ever played. To make things worst,we ran into a 6some on hole 4." (Never seen that before on a public course). We quit after hole 13 as it was already a four n half hour round. Place has potential as it is a fairly decent enough course with a nice club house but they need to fix pace of play which I see is consistent with other reviews.
