What People Say

In summary

Arrowhead Golf Club receives praise for its beautiful course layout and attentive staff, with some visitors noting improvements in course conditions and amenities such as well-maintained carts and good food. However, there are frequent criticisms regarding the condition of the tee boxes, fairways, and bunkers, with some golfers feeling that the course does not offer good value for the price. The club's focus on hosting events like weddings is also mentioned as a potential distraction from maintaining the golf course.

Arrowhead should be ashamed. This used to be a great course. Almost $70 for a tee time, not a single nice tee box, all dirt. The fairways are patchy and embarrassing. They care way more about their weddings than they do about the course. Absolutely will not be coming back here.

Played this course recently and unfortunately it was a big disappointment. At $57, the value just isn’t there. Tee boxes and fairways were mostly dirt, and the greens were in very poor shape. There are multiple other courses in the area at a similar price point that are in far superior condition, making this one hard to recommend.

The course isn’t as bad as stated in many previous reviews. Conditions were better than expected and many things are being done to improve the quality of the course. We had the pleasure of meeting new superintendent who has been there for a short period of time and is turning the course around.

Review: I recently had the opportunity to play a round at Aarowhead Golf Course and I must say that my overall experience was a mixed bag. There were aspects of the course that exceeded my expectations, while others left a bit to be desired. If possible, my rating would be 3.5 but since Google doesn’t allow that, I rounded up for fairness. Let's start with the positives. The greens were a standout feature of this course. They were well-maintained, smooth, and rolled true. It was evident that the groundskeeping team dedicated considerable effort to keeping the greens in fantastic shape. As a…

The clubhouse is fine. But the golf course is pretty bad. Some of the worst browned out greens I've seen. Almost every green and a bunch of fairways have problems on them. And they charge you $55 for the weekend! Definitely not worth it at that price. It's sad because the layout is really good and it has the potential to be a great course. But right now it's bad. Very bad. And expensive.

It was an overall wet and overcast day, but at the turn we decided to grab a few drinks. Thats where I ran into Larry Brzeczkowski behind the counter. His attentiveness, humor and overall demeanor while serving our 4 some was something expected at a much higher priced club. Arrowhead is lucky to have a guy like Larry on their staff and he would be an asset to any establishment.

Was there a week ago. I was very disappointed. Tee boxes and fairways were awful. Basically the tee boxes were dirt and the fairways were a patchwork of weirdness. I play regularly at Grover and although an easy and not challenging course the fairways were pristine. For a cheap county course it’s a bargain compared to arrowhead.

Beautiful layout to be honest, conditions were maintained but not 100%. This place has so much potential. Just a little bit more care for the course it would honestly compete with the top surrounding buffalo courses. Overall, I enjoyed the course a lot.

This is NOT worth the money. Bunkers are wildly variable in condition; some are sandy, some are just bare dirt. On 15, two have been marked ground under repair with no apparent intention of fixing them. On 16, they appear to have removed a bunker and left just a pit of weeds? It looks terrible. Fairways on the front are OK. Fairways on the back are worse than most municipal courses. Awful shape. At least one green, a par three on the back, had a large dead spot. The tee boxes are the worst I've ever seen. They are bare dirt in most places, but the cart will still beep to you to remind you to f…
