In summary

Athabasca Golf & Country Club is frequently praised for its beautiful setting, well-maintained course, and challenging layout, making it a worthwhile destination for golf enthusiasts. The staff is often highlighted for their friendliness and accommodating nature, enhancing the overall experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play, especially on busy weekends, and occasional service shortcomings, such as the lack of a beverage cart and problems with golf carts.

I haven’t played this course in over 15 years just never got around to it. God how much do I wish I had taken the time to go and play one of the nicest courses in Alberta. It rained all the day before but the fairways and greens were great. Even the bunkers were playable as I found out too many times. Don’t do as I did take the time and drive to a great golf experience.

Nice course with some challenging holes. I like the heavily wooded area and enjoyed the peace and quiet while playing. I’ve only been here for tournaments sponsored by my workplace, but had a very good experience overall. The driving range is okay — I found it difficult to track my shots and guesstimate distance because it’s uneven and runs steeply downhill.

Really enjoyed the challenges this course had to offer. It's worth the drive from edmonton for the day to play. The only disappointments were the 16th green is in terrible shape and the coolest par three hole 3 was not playable. I'm looking forward to playing again. Hint green 18 is sneaky hard with a very hard to see downward fast slope from the back to front.

Great challenging course for a 6 handicap or over ;worth the Drive. Very scenic with a well maintained course. Weekdays are much more enjoyable as weekends are very slow going with my average round of 4:45hr-5hrs.

Did not play this course for 10 years but got back into the hour plus drives for golfing again this year. Wow what a pleasure to play this course. Even though it is about 100 minutes from my house, I played here about 10 times this year. The course has an amazing layout, great conditions, fair rates and friendly staff. Highly recommend you support this course with your green fees, you will not be disappointed!!!

Course is an exceptional gem in a beautiful setting. The conditions wanted to be great, the grounds' crew is clearly talented. Unfortunately we played on a very busy Sunday morning of the long weekend. Teed off 15 minutes late due to there being no starter. Pace of play put us at 5:20 since there was no marshall either. The lack of starter and marshall did not match the quality of design or price. Symptoms of that omission, beyond slow play, were groups not following proper etiquette: repairing ball marks, raking bunkers, replacing flags, etc. The holes hadn't been cut in some time and reflect…

Very disappointing experience. Golfed 4 days in a row and had cart issues with handicap gps for an over priced golf cart. $26.00 a seat ridiculous. Have golfed all over AB at much nicer courses than this and top price for a cart was 22.. most at 20

We recently camped at Blueberry Campground for 8 days. My husband and sister-in-law golfed for 4 days straight. They used a cart ($26.00 per person - totally unreasonable). As my husband has a walking disability they order a cart with a handicap flag. GPS needed to be reset and problems with the cart each day. They called back in to clubhouse and had to wait 6 holes before GPS finally got fixed. The last day 2 days they golfed, called about cart drove back to clubhouse and the next day waited until a new cart was brought to them. This is totally unacceptable. We will not be returning as servic…

It is a very impressive, challenging and beautiful golf course! I only played the front 9 holes so I didn't see the whole course. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff are great. I look forward to coming back in the future!!

My husband and I drove 2 hours to play this course and we were not disappointed! The views were so beautiful and the fairways were such good shape! The staff made us feel very welcome which was so nice. It was such a pleasure playing this course as it was in really good shape, very challenging, and so relaxing! We will be definitely going back.

Beautiful golf course. Deer can be seen on and around the course which was amazing for an overseas visitor from Australia.
