However, some golfers express concerns about the course's maintenance, particularly regarding the condition of greens and bunkers, and find the pricing high given these issues. We had a fantastic time at the cottage and enjoyed a great round of golf for just $59 for 18 holes! The course has really come around since the drought this summer. All greens are looking great now. Beautiful fall weather for golfing! Interestingly, according to Golf Ontario, the back nine holes are the longest in Ontario from the blacks, which my boyfriend, a scratch golfer, really appreciated. He loved the layout and the challenge of the back nine. Can't wait to come back!

Played Bancroft Ridge course today as staying in area was looking forward to it…. Course has some challenges with conditions and many greens are in rough shape… layout is a challenge for sure … lots of potential and I’m sure it’s a delicate balance of Maintaining course …. No bunker maintenance or rakes so all is essentially ground under repair …We cancelled our second time on Wednesday as in my opinion $200 for golf and cart and a small bucket wasn’t a great value … that’s me and maybe others are fine with that as limited options in area … would definitely give another shot in the future as I…

Staying at a cottage in the area and decided to give this course a shot as there is not many options in the area. Saw reviews but figured I would try it anyways, i have to say the conditions of this course may be the worst I have seen in my 20+yrs golfing. It is a scenic course with a lot of potential and the gentleman at the pro shop was nice. But $89 to play a course with borderline unplayable fairways and greens that are heavily damaged is just robbery. They are also currently not serving alcohol. Hoping this helps others vacationing in the area and looking for a round of golf to save their…

This is in awful shape. The were more ant hills than grass on some fairways. Traps are just mounds of earth. No rakes. The owner spoke to me three times about keeping my Sunday bag in the rough to "protect" the Secondary rough and fringe. A joke because the greens are covered in dry rot and bald patches. He was anal and rude. Stay away. No liquor license which they apparently lost for some dubious reason.

See Dave Bittman’s review with photos, course is in pretty awful shape. Been coming to Bancroft my whole life and played this course many times. Not sure if it’s the owner who was working the pro shop but he was pretty pompous and pretentious for a guy who is running a golf course with such poor maintenance standards. I’ve played several courses in Ottawa paying $60 for 18 and a cart on phenomenal courses and I heard a group pay $89 for 18 and a cart, we paid $60~ for 9 and a cart. I would golf anywhere but here moving forward and will drive the extra distance to go to Marvel Rapids, much bett…

This course is very scenic, challenging but not insanely so, and once we even saw a moose on a fairway. But it's pricey for the lack of attention to maintaining it. Many greens are bone-dry (think brown, cracked like a desert) and there is no sand trap maintenance at all. We have a good time when we play here, but $95 for a round & cart is steep for the quality of the course. The recently-closed other course in town was much more affordable and better kept. Enjoyable round despite this, however.

Fun and entertaining - staff friendly. A wonderful course just outside of Bancroft. Do executive or a full 18. This is a long course so carts are a great idea.

Golfed here for the first time visiting my friend. Loved the course, very scenic and peaceful. The staff was helpful and the course was challenging. If you are visiting Bancroft definitely stop in for a round and a cold drink overlooking Bancroft beautiful ridge!

Do not waste your money here. This course has been run into the ground, no food no alcohol and the grounds are absolutely embarrassing. Clearly the new owners could care less about running a golf course. I feel for the locals now, having to go out of town to golf. Stay away and save your hard earned money.

Absolutely atrocious golf course. Worst shape golf course Ive been on in 20-30 years No ball washers No bunker rakes Bunkers not raked/shaped This course literally should have "Ground under repair " markers every 100 feet Whole place is dryer than the most prudent Nun $99 solo/cart is absurd Owner should be ashamed to be charging this price Members must have money to burn if they're paying to play here Go to Marvel Creek north of Apsley

The new owners have done a fantastic job on this golf course! It always had beautiful vistas, but now the golf course Is as good as you would expect at any championship course.. the staff are friendly. The beer is cold. What are you waiting for now? Get out and play
